Once the anchor stores close down, there goes the mall. I worked at Sears from 1999-2012. RIP Crestwood Plaza/Court!!!!!!!

I have SO many memories here as well. I grew up in STL and this was THE mall in STL until the galleria got built up and south county got renovated. West County's rebuild was the ultimate dagger..

aw, of all the Crestwood Plaza videos, I like yours best...thank you for sharing your memories and stories. It's just incredibly sad seeing it like this..so lifeless. I spent most of my shopping days at this mall through the 80's and early 90's before I left St. Louis. I even worked at a Southwestern Bell Telephone office right there above where the Orange Julius was by Dillards....I'm guessing that's gone now too. I hope something good goes back in that area It must be awful for residents around there to have such an empty large hole in the town.

i enjoyed this mall and have great memories through the 80s and 90s but i loved southcounty mall the best,,,,,i remember the first time i went into southcounty mall,,it was a friday night and i could not believe how many people were in there in the early 80s,,its hard to believe how crestwood has gone under in such a short time after being the number one mall in stlouis,,growing up in stlouis city i never knew these malls existed,,yes i lived a sheltered life without my parents owning a car,,,the time for malls are apparently over but memories are forever,,,,southcounty mall is next unfortunately,,its a ghost town,,,,thx for posting

I remember going there with my parents when I was real young. I was born in 1996 and grew up through the 2000s. I don't remember a whole lot of the stores that were there but I do remember some. I remember the movie theater where I had seen a couple movies maybe, the arcade, the food court, and I remember the carousel ride that was outside of the Dillards entrance from inside the building if I'm not mistaken I remember riding on that too. Now these days with the whole building being completely gone whenever I'm in the car with my mom and we drive past crestwood mall it surprises me how much had been torn down. I miss that old mall I had some good memories there. R.I.P crestwood mall.

The second "store" to the right from the corner store when you first walk in is where I bought my ,Orion refractive telescope, years ago.

I thought this mall looked familiar, That guy at 11:38 was also doing a walkthrough of this mall and his video is on youtube too, I saw it about a year ago on here! What are the chances? :D

+BlueRigel81 This ones finished. They are going to start demolishing it soon. The County decided to use Tax money to redevelop the site where it stands. They have already started moving in heavy equipment to start tearing it down.
