it's come for daniel to leave finland. obviously, there are quite a lot of emotions, so please be kind, as i feel very vulnerable sharing these feelings. but, if someone can relate and feel inspired by me, i'm honored to get to share my experiences. :)
i am so grateful to have had this opportunity to live in finland these last 10 months. my life has completely changed for the better, + though i am maybe just as confused about life as i was before, i have a broader perspective + a completely refreshed mind about what it means to be alive. and for that, i am forever grateful to finland.
i hope you enjoy this tour back in time to the start of our trip to helsinki, as i take you through the months of this year while reading entries from my journal.

You are welcome back anytime! In the meantime, I hope you can spread Finnish lifestyle and ideas to your surroundings wherever you relocate from now on. Living in Finland is really more of a state of mind that you can take with you, it is not truly tied up to any physical location. Be mindful of yourself, people close to you, other people and nature. Seek to improve the systems and lives of everyone, not just yourself and in the long run without ever pushing others down to achieve it. Don't over-do anything, approach things with moderation. Always think with your brain, but judge with your heart. Be content on what you have, and don't think what you don't/could have. Live in the moment not the past, but plan for the future. With these simple steps, anyone can already be half way there on being Finnish, no matter where they live or where they come

I've seen your videos before and I've always liked them, but for some reason it only clicked just now... ...how incredbly talented videographer and editing person you are. I really enjoyed this one! The pace, the thoughtful words, shots and their angles, how things flowed or jumped to the next thing... And you have a really nice voice! I hope you get to visit us again soon! Well done, well edited, well said. But ye do realize.. that this rough, cold and hard land of ours have left its mark on ye? In a sense, ye have become part Finn, when ye left yer heart open and truly felt the land. The depression, lack of sunlight. The joy of spring and sense of belonging. My prediction is that yer journey will lead back here. Take care.
