Great video Marie. I'm so sorry to hear that you had a rough flight but hopefully your time in the States will be much better. Please take care and stay safe 🙏 I can't wait to see more of your adventures 🤗🥰
I thought you did amazing on the long flight! After spending close to 9 hours on a flight, I can’t wait to get off the dang airplane. Hope you’ve been enjoying yourself while here in the States. Take care and stay safe!
Landed. Welcome! Brush away all preconceptions and look at all with fresh eyes. It has warts and beauty, old and new, it is not what you expected. Most is mundane , not spectacular. Think of how the first Europeans stepped ashore from boats to an awaiting population who had not seen vessels that large with strange looking people exiting. Were they friend or foe? Meet the Americans who come in many types and they will meet a French person who has crossed an ocean to explore. I hope you will find most of us kind, friendly and accommodating. It is Halloween nearly, have a pumpkin latte, a crispy creme, or a cup of Joe (plain coffee). I have checked you out on Patreon, thx for sending.
I've never had motion sickness on a plane, but I have had it on a boat. It's definitely one of the top 10 worst feelings in the world and seems like it'll never end. Take some Dramamine next time and you'll be fine!
Hi Marie!!! Thank you so much for this truly amaizng video, and even your friend got into it by helping you film! Thank you for your good wishes - all my friends and family who still live in Florida made it okay and safely ❤! Awhhh, such a stressful day to get over here, starting with that stress for everything to go right with taxi and trains and shuttle to make your flight, then the airport, then all that waiting until you took off! I think you handled it amazingly well! Wow, is CDG HUGE!!! I am so very sorry you hit that turbulence coming up from the hurricane, and were soooo sick, but you made it through, and I do not even think I could have walked off the plane after all that!! 😮! I loved your commentary as you relaxed waiting in the airport ("run, run, run, very fast" 🤣). That interactive map is cool, and you saw so much from above like the Atlantic, Canada, Norther U.S. 😊. I did like your comment to your Air France plane (I hope I never see you again!). Sorry you could not eat more at Anita's, but you did well to eat at all, in my opinion!! I am so thrilled that you are inside our country, and have already seen so much 😀, and I hope you have the perfect, most amazing time every from here on the rest of your visit 😍❗ Take care!! 😊🙏!!!
I’m getting butterflies in my stomach just watching…the excitement of new experiences! Have a wonderful time 😁 Please enjoy every moment and don’t spend all your time there editing videos for us!!
Welcome to the States. It’s funny you landed in Charlotte. I fly through there once a year or so to visit my brother and sister-in-law in Asheville, which is in the blue ridge mountains. Not a real big fan of Atlanta airport and Delta. I love North Carolina. Hope you enjoy your stay.
Wonderful video, Marie! I'm so sorry you had such a trying flight. I'm pretty sure the flight going back won't be nearly as bad -- it'll be a little shorter, anyway. And kudos for eating MEXICAN FOOD after all THAT! Anyway, WELCOME TO AMERICA!
Wahoooo!!!!!! Welcome to America!!! Wow - Fabulous job editing this Marie! (I love the soundtrack!) Really terrific job! Can NOT wait to see the rest of your adventure! Have an amazing time! So sorry about the motion sickness - that isn't fun! I hope the weather cooperates! Enjoy everything! Have a marvelous adventure! Superb job on this one!!! Stay as long as you want :0) 🐺 🇺🇸
Hi Marie, sorry you were sick on your first day in America I hope it will get better stay safe and have fun hope all goes as well as you had hoped it would 😀
You ate Mexican food after throwing up? Jai Caramba! Quebec City is 636 km from Boston (if u go fly, I hope you go). Remember distances really vast even in the East. I live in St. Louis and Denver is 1,344 km away.
Bonjour Marie! Awww, so sorry that you got travel sickness. Flights from Paris to the US East Coast are (on average) around 8-8.5 hours, which is a pretty loooong flight. I flew from Detroit, Michigan to Hawai'i which was 6 hours from Detroit to Los Angeles, California, then I had a less than 2 hour layover, and then another 6 hour flight to Honolulu, Hawai'i. UGH! And I HATE flying! So, I feel for ya because 8-9 hours in the air is just no fun...and worse with motion sickness. Looks like you also got rained on at the baseball game. Ugh! I suuuure hope that your time here in the US isn't all just misery and you never want to come back. Heck, the flying was so rough, maybe you should never leave! Hope you're doing well. Bonne journee! ~Be Blessed
Great video! Loved the way you put it together with the music. 🎶 ❤️ Transatlantic flights are long, at least the flight back will be a little shorter due to the prevailing winds. And maybe you will sleep on the way back also.
Hey was that you flying over my house? I live in Maine. We see a LOT of flights over our house! Those big jet planes leave their contrail’s behind! (Those white lines in the sky) Hope you had fun!
Welcome to the United States. Sorry you had travel sickness on your plane ride over here. I hope you will have a tremendous time here. Looking forward to you posts.
Relax honestly while French is rarely spoken in the states, we do however use the written form all the time so simply ask if you need translations plus translators are around. Also despite you feeling cramped in New York City it’s actually not that bad only in Times Square do you ever feel like a sardine in a can. The rest of New York is nice and not that crowded. Only little Italy during the San generino feast is it that bad which that has been over for a a few weeks. Chinese New Year in Chinatown is always a fun time with confetti cannons and noise but only firecrackers at the park due to city ordinance. Central Park please find the Balto statue it’s the tribute to the legendary dog sled team that ran the path of the modern ididorod carrying medicine to save children from diphtheria in Alaska facing dangers and who knows out there. Plus the movie was fun.
Hurricane Ian was a hard storm but mostly we are ok. Fort myers isn’t so great though. Just someone didn’t do an evac order when he was supposed to. Mostly power outages and flooding that slowly went down. Hurricanes common here just Ian came from an very odd angle and it brought cold weather which is highly unusual as hurricanes bring lots of heat after the storm. Still looking though the damage estimate which will take at least six months for insurance to process.
Welcome to the USA Marie!!!! I hope you have a great time here!!!! I'm really excited for you and anxious to see all the things you get to see and do in America!
Bonjour sweet Marie, welcome to America! So sorry that you got sick on your flight, but you made it. I used to live in Virginia, and for a while had a job making deliveries to Dulles Airport. Enjoy your time here sweetie, can't wait to see videos of your trip.
great video! Welcome to the States. Just a thought, try not to look out plane windows too much because it can be a vertigo trigger. So, for now, you should rest if you can then go have a nice meal.
Great video ! Because of Hurricane Ian, your first taste of the US was just like the weather in Normandy ! 🤗 Mes meilleurs vœux à ton compagnon de voyage… c’est un homme qui porte chance. ! 😎🥰
Hi Marie, so sorry you were sick on flight over, that is no fun for sure. I’m also sorry the weather wasn’t good while you were here, but I have no doubt you made the best of it and still had fun. I travelled a few weeks ago for a WWII tour; I was in a few different countries (was in France (Normandy/Paris also) so I know what you mean with being nervous during your travel day. Excellent video can’t wait to see the rest of the trip.
Hello Marie, so sorry that you became sick on the flight, but very glad you arrived safely. I hope you enjoy your visit, and that my fellow Americans treat you properly. I truly enjoy your videos. I guess the airline food wasn't nearly as good as the pizza and strawberry jam you made with your mother LOL! May God bless!
Hope you feel better very soon and can enjoy your trip even more. So glad you made it here safely. You have many things you want to do, remember to relax and take it one day at a time. ✈⚾🏈❤
I've lived in the Virginia suburbs of Washington DC my whole life (65 years) so I recognized a lot of things you saw after you landed. Dulles Airport is the only DC airport I've used. I remember when it was being built in the 1960s. Anitas is a popular local chain restaurant. I unfortunately got a bad case of food poisoning from one meal there back in the 1980s. If you tried to see a baseball game, you must have gotten wet and you saw the Nationals lose. I look forward to seeing where else you visit.
I really hope you have a great time in America :) To be honest I hate flying. I flew once from Detroit to Atlanta then to Huntsville Alabama and I was so glad when my feet were back on the ground.
Welcome to the US.. glad you were able to make it over.. I truly hope you enjoy your time in here.. wishing you nothing but love and safe travels and hopefully you can make beautiful memories in your time here.. ❤
Welcome to North America Marie! I hope you are having a fantastic stay and that you are having the time of your life! I very much look forward to your next videos! Fait attention à toi! 🙏🇺🇸⚜️
Welcome to your second home Marie. Enjoy your visit and hope you have a wonderful time. Be sure to catch a baseball game while there is still time and maybe a football game also.
So wonderful...the video and the fact that you are here! Too bad about the flight, those things happen, and hopefully will be the last time. Looking forward to seeing more of your adventure! 😊😁
Oh, Marie! I'm sorry you got so air sick. 😢 But I'm really happy you didn't have any issues in customs! Welcome to the US. I really hope you have a wonderful time and get to do all the things that you have planned. Looking forward to watching when you have time to release videos. Big hugs from Colorado! 🤗🥰😃
@@sirmoonslosthismind If you want to split hairs all day long that's your choice. It was basically the creation of one person. Auguste Bartholdi - a French sculptor who had recently been commissioned to make a bust of Laboulaye - greatly supported Laboulaye's idea and was soon selected to be the sculptor of the proposed monument.
As an American this was such a great video to watch! We had no problem getting from Cincinnati to Paris and navigating CDG was fairly easy to take the RoissyBus to Opera. But our biggest challenge was when we arrived back at CDG and getting to Terminal G to catch our flight to Malaga, Spain. We had no idea you needed to take a shuttle to Terminal G and we were really stressing out. We finally figured it out thanks to a big screen that basically used arrows to show you where to walk in order to get where you wanted to go. We were finally able to figure it out but our saving grace was that we arrived two hours early to CDG. The staff was very polite and helpful and we ended up having plenty of time before our flight to ease our anxiety. Can't wait to visit France again and see more of the countryside.
To all those new subscribers discovering Marie for the first time 😃, here's your opportunity to join in & share with us french Fry's big American adventure . Thanks for the insight on how airports operate & how your flight went,I can't believe how smoothly it went through customs, look forward to further DC/Virginia posts , stay curious & frosty & take good care of yourself . 🧢 🎒 💖🦅🇺🇸
I'm a new subscriber but not really. I hadn't seen anything on her original channel in months and got worried. I'm glad Marie is safe and is having fun!
Well Marie, I have been watching you videos out of order. I'm glad that you enjoyed your time in my country. Welcome to the United States of America. Come back when you can. Please visit the Midwest.
My first commercial airline flight was in the 1980s when I was only 20 years old. I flew from Iowa, USA to Malaga, Spain with several stops along the way including NYC and Madrid. I stayed in Spain for University for the majority of a year with a fair amount of Eurail train travel to the remainder of Western Europe. I am so happy for your travel experiences.
Welcome to the United States, it’s wonderful you made it, watching your video, I can tell how excited you are to visit. As you said this is a huge country and honestly each state offers an experience the others don’t, I live in Ohio and we like many states have big cities (Columbus, Cincinnati & Cleveland), but we also have Amish country, farms, rural farms, Great Lakes, rivers. Just where you are going offers much more than 2 weeks can see, Washington DC is beautiful but so is the whole east coast, I have no doubt you will have a wonderful time.
So glad that you made it to America safe and sound! I know a few people with motion sickness that hate flying or being on boats, so I can appreciate your determination all the more to get on that plane and suffer through it just to get here. Now that you're here, I hope you make the most of your American adventure. In a way, it's good that it was raining. It cuts down on the crowds and allows you to see more of the places that would otherwise be packed with people. I think we all need to chip in and buy you a good Gore-Tex jacket though so you can be out in the rain without any worries.
French Fry!!! I didn't know what happened to you, so I discovered you have this new channel. This video was really fun all the way through. I'm so sorry you threw up so much. Can't wait to see what you'll be doing and where you'll be going. Really enjoyed this video!!! :)
10:23 Man, that is so trippy. I want to stare, but it gives me anxiety, now that I have anxiety problems since the seizure I suffered years back. I never been on a plane before. Had no idea you finally traveled to America, until I saw someone comment about it in an Office Blokes reaction video. It's been a while since I checked in on the channel.
I just returned to my home after evacuating for the hurricane. My town looks like Hiroshima after the bomb. Hope you have fun on your trip. Look forward to your vids from the USA
When your trip is done and you take rest from the hurry and excitement (and stress), make an intro that includes landing again and the first and second day. No need to give away the whole trip. Leave a little suspense. Show us a trinket you bought if any. I bet there are enough episodes for a number of videos. I hope PA (Pennsylvania), was an interesting exploration as there were a number of directions you might have taken. Wishing you a peaceful, calm, and uneventful return. Hopefully we will all send enough donations to offset some of the expense. What were your first impressions? Did you have jet lag? Did you recover from being airsick? Were Americans conversive with you? Did you have trouble with any accents? What foods did not taste as you expected and what foods did you discover that you had never tried before? Did you meet any French or Quebecois along the way? Look at a map and plot your travel. See how big the country truly is? And it is so varied and different so you must make another trip soon.
