I love my OTB Neutron Soft Hex from last year. But I max out at ~280 ft of power with a Crave currently. Those Hexes go straight for me but hook up a good amount. I’ve been leaning heavily on my Gyropalooza Detour for months now as my workable workhorse mid. Love it. It’ll go straight like you said, or I can give it a bit of anhyzer release and have a gentle push right without burning over like my Paradox. The Hex comes out a little less often for me and is more of a “stable” to slightly OS mid since it doesn’t turn for me, even in a light headwind (maybe -0.5). If I need something truly OS, I have a Zone, Justice, and Firebird.

Got a detour and it went right in the bag. Replaced the fuse. Felt just as easy to flip up but it fought back at end more than fuse.

I’ve added the detour to my bag now too. But I also kept the reactor, hex and paradox because they all have different uses.

The glide on the detour is incredible. Easy hyzer flip discs that just glides. Great mix between a hex and a paradox

Personally, my gyro box detour flies just like the numbers, if not less fade. I bought it at the same time as fuse, fully expecting it to be more stable than the fuse, and the fuse to be flippy, as it was biogold plastic. They are reversed actually, with the fuse a little straighter, and the detour will have great turn the whole way. I also have a natural hyzer release, so this will flip to flat, then keep over in a turn the whole way. It bombs though, like 30-50ft further than my hex. I can get it out to 350ft on accident all the time, rather than needing a fairway driver.

Doesn't look too different from a Fission Hex, especially at light weight. But Detour in Fission could be money 🤑

If i can reach the distance the detour makes putting a thing of the past! I stuck a few inch long glow tape strips on it so i can still park baskets at night and the tape didn't affect the flight!

Finally got my hands on a Detour last week and it was everything I wanted out of it. Right now the Detour, MD3 and Pyro cover all of the midrange shots that I would need.

Nice molds and choices. I throw a glow buzz/md1 IS4 depending how I am feeling in that slot, then midnight prowl 2 origin for understable , and then the ultra/or pyro. I’m surprised more people don’t throw the ultra instead of the pyro. If I need something to replace the MNP2 I’ll try the origin.

@@julianseyal I switch between a ESP meteor and midnight prowl. For being a -3 , 1 it’s was more torture resistant than the numbers say. I would say -2 not -3 I would give that a shot.

Detour and Hex disc dimensions are very similar. My assumption is that the main difference is the Detour having a lower parting line than the Hex which makes it less stable.

Beat in hex flies better than a detour 100% then get another hex and have 2 different flights, same disc.

This literally kicked my paradox out and I'm throwing this more then my hex now. I honestly might even replace my hex with my glow reactor just to give more shot shapes as my next mid is a pyro lol

To be fair to MVP Disc Sports, the reason why they do not allow discount codes is because they are selling their product just above Cost in order to be competitive in the market. While most manufacturers are outputting single model discs, MVP is creating a 2 mold system. This creates more overhead and in reality their discs should be up there in price with Clash (~$25), but stock runs are ~$18 They still have to make a profit while giving the people the opportunity to purchase as many of their discs as they like without being held back by sticker shock.

I got my Stig so I am good, but making a batch of non OTB-priced Tempos would be nice.... That seems it would help me decide between not bagging either of Pig, JOKERi, OS version of eMac Truth, A3 and so on... ;D

Seems like if you want a disc that will turn more than a Hex or beat in Hex than get the Detour.

Been through 4 Hexes. None flew like I expected, so I just shifted in left in my mid line up. Have been through 4 Detours and all were less stable than I expected. I have been using an Echo for the straight slot. I now have a heavier stock run Detour on the way and hope it shows less turn than the special stamp ones I've gotten early.

Is this not an over-molded Mana? The profiles almost look identical. It essentially has replaced my Hex, with my fission Reactor being my “placement” mid to complement it.
