I have periodically checked RU-vid for this, for well over a decade. I almost cried from a little childhood nostalgia when I saw that it was actually here. 😢 🎉

🐂💩 you looked on RU-vid for over 10 years for this movie but didn't bother to check online to buy it even though you have internet at the tip of your fingers. Yeah sure we believe you-- don't we guys??

I am so happy to see this on here! I'm from Montgomery, WV. It's where I'm sitting right now. So much history long forgotten represented in this movie.

I showed this movie to my HS Spanish classes. People asked me what it had to do with Spanish. Learning to respect everyone. My students loved it but the last info about who wrote it made some cry. They didn't know it was based on a true story.

I haven’t seen this movie in years. I had Covid in March and I stayed sick after the Covid was gone. I’m just recovering and I am waiting to get feeling back in my legs so I can walk without a walker. This movie is reminding me of all the people I know that passed from Covid, including my family member. I’ve never been so sick in my life and definitely not for so long. I couldn’t even work. I’m so thankful to be alive and recovering. Hopefully, I’ll be able to walk regularly soon.

This is a fictional story based on the author's sister Niki, who emigrated to the United States in 1917. In the movie, she says that one of her brothers died in Greece of the Spanish flu. The first case of this flu occurred in Fort Riley, Kansas in March 1918 and the first case of it in Greece was in July 1918, after American troops brought it to Europe. It did not originate in Spain. Spain was really upset about being blamed for it and having their name attached to it.

I watched whenever I was kid since part of it was filmed in one of my hometowns, Elizabethton, Tn and My sister looked everywhere to show her kids and I did too around Christmas and all I could find at the time was the trailer and how to find a copy to buy! So, excited to find it here!

They filmed some at the big white house in Limestone TN too. I drove by every chance I could as I lived nearby. After the movie they let the house deteriorate and fall in. It was so sad.

it is absolutely stupid not to use tools to streamline everything those times of snatching from each other should be firmly put behind, because they growth still was on not aligned.. but not today.. as of now...

This is only the 2nd time I've seen this film; I first saw it when I was 11 or 12, even then the ending got to me 😪 I didn't realise at the time, but now that I'm an adult I understand completely; the town only respected Niki *after* she was dead, out of liberal guilt. They should have respected her when she was alive, instead of persecuting her & her family just because they were immigrants 🇬🇷 They forget that they are descendants of immigrants themselves, which makes them just as foreign. Also, the 4th of July (American Independence Day) is a joke; the American Colonies did not have a right to secede & "declare independence" from the British Empire 🇬🇧 Likewise the British & other European colonisers did not have a right to steal the land from the indigenous population that have lived in the Western Hemisphere tens of thousands of years before they ever set foot on it. Therefore, the US entity is illegal, just as the Zionist entity ("State of Israel") is illegal. 🖕🇺🇸🇮🇱👎
