This looks like quite a lively debate and this video may not be GMM's best work but they not just Gave Us Dust, they gave us a lot of outstanding stuff, from Garbage to The Filthy Tongues, playing across Scotchland this year and better than ever...peace!
@@jdee8407 In 1992 and 1993 he worked as a backline and guitar technician for the band Nirvana and played guitar with them during their concert in Roseland Ballroom, New York City on 23 July 1993. The Exploited were one of Kurt's influences.
Just as well I kept all my Mackenzies vinyl..it's gone shooting up in price..£15 plus I've seen it go for. One of the best album tracks here..bit of a blast from the past here..
Well, she's singing harmony. That's pretty much how you mix band vocals. That being said, the vocals are getting drowned out by the drums and guitar anyway.

Nearly! This is from1989 with all songs from the Good Deeds era. They went out on tour with DH a year later and included a couple of songs that would later feature on Hammer and Tongs (Diamonds and Blacker Than Black).
This band were excellent; should have done more outside Scotland, where they were pretty huge. Shirley is quality but I personally still don't think Garbage have done a song to match The Rattler, Blacker Than Black and well, quite a few MacKenzies tracks. 'Special' is the only track I'd rate near the MacKenzies' best stuff. Just my opinion.
Trainwreck....they were well respected in their day. The planets just didn't align for them to make it. Big John played with Nirvana ffs. They did some great tracks. Most of the band are still playing Isa and the filth tongues.
Some amazing tracks a much underrated band. Well done to Shirley but I’m afraid Goodbye Mr Mackenzie leave Garbage in the Dust artistically. Love them. Check out The Filthy Tongues.
completely agree - too many fan boys love-struck by Shirley (who is decent and surely hot) to see how amazing GBMM really was and yeah the tongues are imo even better
in the 4 years since you made this stupid fucking comment have you yet realised that the large stumbling fellow was in the exploited, toured with nirvana and is a legend in the music scene. that goodbye mr mackenzie has cult, almost god like status as one of the most under appreciated bands of the 20th century and that the least talented member of the band was embraced by America as any kind of talent at all. Or are you still tone deaf, stupid and musicaly ignorant of anything that's not mainstream
