What an absolute joy of a show! It’s really nice to be able to see bits and pieces of whatever you do even when I can’t come to see you. Panto looked and sounded like it was something truly one of a kind. Enjoy your time off, it’s more than deserved!!
My Best Friend and I watched the final show and oh my gosh the atmosphere was just electric!! Such an incredible show!! With an outstanding cast!! You were such an incredible villain Carrie and you could tell from the audience how close the whole cast was!!
Me and my best friend went to the panto twice! Unfortunately we didn’t meet you but I want to say you embodied each character you play with a burst of your own joyful spirit. Your talent is out of this world, you are truly amazing Carrie. We love you all soo much and I wish you the best of luck on your tour ❤
This show was absolutely outstanding! You could see the amazing friendships you’d all formed even from the audience ❤ the atmosphere was electric and me and mine are thankful to every person that made this panto what it was ❤ Thankyou carriebosse and crew! 😊
I saw you perform at the Marlowe twice and honestly you were incredible! The marlowe panto means so much to our local area & show community, so thanks for being fab!
Awh, the panto blues hit harder this year! This video was absolutely everything & includes all my favourite scenes! Thank you for being utterly fabulous and making me smile every single day❤️
I recently visited London for the first time (at LONG last) and almost considered traveling all the way to Canterbury to finally see you perform (plus, I’ve never seen a panto before so it would’ve been fun)! Unfortunately I couldn’t, but hopefully I’ll find myself back in the UK soon and I’ll get to see you shine on stage like you always do! 💕 Keep shimmering, Carrie!
Such a hectic schedule must be made so much more manageable by having wonderful people around you. So glad you had such a blast, Carrie and hope you’ve been catching up on some sleep! x
What absolutely fun show! I don’t usually watch pantomime but had to see this knowing you were in it. Had so much fun and even got a soaking straight in the face from water gun too busy laughing at everyone down below. The cast were amazing too. Laughed so much. Lovely to see behind the scenes. Thank you
What an absolute joy! Currently in the states and couldn't come to see the show but you can feel the happiness from this cast through the screen. What a fantastic way to end the year and I hope you've gotten the rest you need after such an intense run!
Your villain cackle was 👌I love seeing all the little games and silliness behind the curtain that develop and Panto seems like such a prime time for chaos with how intense the schedule is, seems like it was an absolute blast 😂 we’ve definitely had a similar “guess the name” competition. We’d all bet a quarter and then whoever won the pot would get it. If no one did it would carry over to the next day and a couple of times it was big enough to buy donuts for the cast.
I went to watch it and g you are beyond amazing, I was blown away by your singing, your acting and your snappy humor and your just so talented and I just want to be like you when I'm older, love you❤️❤️
What a fabulous show! Was a pleasure to watch it so many times! & to get to meet you again❤ Thank you for being a fabulous panto villain on stage and such a wonderful person off stage. Canterbury misses you🥰
What a riot panto is! What a lovely vlog you have to look back on. Thank you for sharing this peak into your crazy theatre world ❤️ I love love love your evil bloomers! 😈 😈😈
I haven’t watched a panto for so long but you were in this so I came with my mum . I absolutely loved it ! It was hilarious and I could tell that the actors on stage were having a great time , especially during the water fight ! You were fantastic and I’m so sad to see Carrie-Boss go !
My mom saved my first Booties my now 100+ grandma made and tied them with a bit of yarn for a Christmas tree ornament. Still cute after 30+ years ❤ Here’s to the first door closed in the new year and to all the new ones you’re kicking open. 🎉
Gutted I never got to see you in this due to train strikes 🙃 However I heard nothing but praise from those who saw it. Those pants are amazing 😂 glad you get to keep them!! Hope you enjoy your “rest” (let’s be honest you never stop 😉) and I can’t wait to see your sole show this year.
I don’t live near Canterbury so I never got to see you in this panto but watching these videos makes me feel like I have been to see it and the pants are the absolute best
Came last Thursday Carrie and it was a brilliant show. I would never boo you normally (promise!) but I made myself hoarse booing you on this occasion. Tell me you got to keep the horns; they looked brilliant! Good luck for all you do in 2023 and beyond but have a rest first - you've earned it girl!
The panto looked amazing no wonder you had an amazing time. Just remember even though it's over you will have all those memories in your heart. I thought your evil bloomers were fantastic I want a pair lol. Have a well earned rest now can't wait to see what's in store for you next.❤️❤️
Aw, what a lovely vlog to say goodbye to Sleeping beauty panto! And I just know that the kids and the audience had an absolute blast at that show, it looks so much fun! Excited to see what your next adventure is :)
My partner grabbed 2 tickets to come and see your panto for our Anniversary because we met working on panto, and I thoroughly enjoy your work! I also love panto (did my Thesis on it for my Stage Management degree). It was a fantastic time! The best panto I've seen (and I've seen a lot). Congratulations on such a successful run!
Watching these Carriebosse vlogs have made me really want to see a pantomime 🥰 which have never really been my thing but this really made chuckle throughout and I think I would enjoy it! Xx
There's nothing quite like being in a show!! You get so used to being with those people working together on something unique. I can only imagine how much more intense it is with the length of a professional contract. Congrats on your first panto!
I learned so much about Panto just from these vlogs! They look like so much fun! I live in the states sadly! I wonder why we don't do something like this here. We have great Christmas shows, but nothing can be compared to these! Hope to experience a panto one day! I definitely hope you get to do another panto in the future!
It's so british - it's always fun trying to explain it to people! If you come to the uk around christmas there will be pantos on in pretty much every town 😄
@@HelenRosemarySmith thanks! I’ve done some research about it but I don’t think I’ll fully understand it until I actually experience one. One thing I find fascinating is the “ghost gag” and the constant audience participation. I absolutely love it when shoes break the 4th wall and interact with the whole audience.
@Dylan Smith I was in a panto for the first time recently and it felt so different that as performers we were able to show we were aware the audience were there! It's like everyone's in on a big joke together. The audience shouting "oh yes we do!" while we shouted back "oh no you don't!" was always so fun!
@@HelenRosemarySmith that’s awesome! Yeah, I hope to move to the UK in the next years to pursue my dreams and I definitely will want to experience a panto during the holidays!
Did Pantomime in college which was fun and was part of ensemble where I played Dragon, Guard and Waiter. As we did Aladdin, so know somewhat what technical is like, how long it can take etc. As even though we were students, we had to be in not as early as these types of shows and Westend, early in the morning for tech setup and tech rehearsals. Which at times were long, as we were in from 08:30am to 10pm at night. But with college, we got sunlight between with breaks and were allowed to step outside into daylight for short breaks etc. Just not for too long & quite short times. But a really good experience college was with learning routines, singing and dancing. Did audition for Dame, Villain and was going to go for Emporar, but director left before got chance for Emporar, which was a shame, but it was what it was & is. But maybe might think about getting back into MT / Musical Theatre again? As I did & do enjoy it, but have to see? But back to video, really enjoyed, this is another show I saw advertised in Kent, I think onboard trains a.k.a Highspeed 1 and basically all throughout Kent towns and everything, but again didn't go see as had other plans at the time, was thought about & suggested? But yeah, wasn't meant to be on this occasion. About Panto, would you play villain again if ever do it again? Or a different character? As think from what I have seen, you did a good job. Or is that a tick of your list of parts to play and another role if have any is the next to portray? Cause for me villain is the one 100% & dame aswell one day? If I did performing again? But nice vlog, really did enjoy vlogs we got in this playlist & look forward to next in future. 😀👍
loved this panto defo was my fave I’ve ever seen & I see the Marlowe Theatre Panto every year but yeah Carrie you were amazing as a baddie haha & it was so nice to meet you at stage door x
I just wish stupid covid hadn't of struck me down a few days before I was meant to see what would've been the most fantastic panto ever! My mum and wife loved it - since my mum's friend went instead of me. I look forward to seeing your Open Book tour though (would love the other one too - but can't afford it 😢). You're the best Carrie!!! 💝
Awesome video! 💕As an American who knows nothing about British panto, I cannot possibly parse what this show is about or how it ties into the story of Sleeping Beauty 😆
There is definitely something special about doing panto, even more so than other shows somehow. We do 20 shows over two weeks (plus tech/dress week) and you do really become a little dysfunctional, tired family! x
As someone not from the UK therefore not really familiar with the genre of panto, when the waterguns appeared in relation to Sleeping Beauty.... I was really confused. :D Glad you had a blast, looks like super fun show.
I’m currently on placement in a primary school (I’m a PGCE student to become a primary school teacher), and from 31st October until 4th February I’ve been with the same class Monday to Friday and I don’t know how to feel when I leave because the kids and the teachers have been amazing and I’m gutted to have to leave (for second placement in a few months). I’m an emotional person anyway but yeah. The attachment is real ❤
omg i got so excited when you talked about stitch n bitch!! i'm starting a stitch n bitch club in my town at the coffee shop i work at and i'm so excited other people know what it is :)
Thank you so much for taking us along on this joyful ride & spreading a bit of that unmatched unison & emotion (in the cast & the audience as well) of the theatre business to us. 🥹🙏🏽
Adrian came to stage door afterwards and said that he's been coming to the panto for years always wanting to be picked and this year was the first year her actually was! Was thrilled about it! Others however...weren't so happy hahah!!!
