Ducati mirrors are the worse!! was my first mod in my M937, when I ordered the new SP I preordered new mirrors to have them ready before the new bike arrives, the stoke mirrors are abselotely not usable!
Thanks for watching! I agree 100% I don’t know how I lasted two seasons on two bikes with those mirrors. Any high speed runs - even on my Monster 937 - and they folded in to the center. I don’t understand how Ducati could even continue to put them on bikes…and I didn’t even talk about how you can’t see anything in them. I joked that I couldn’t even tell if the Police were chasing me! Haha
So immediately after finishing this and loading the video - the replacement screws arrived from Amazon! Only 2 days from China. The transformation is now complete…in black! 👍🏼
Thanks for watching. I had the same mirrors on my 936 and SFV2 and no matter what I did or how hard I tightened them they came loose on the road over 200kph. They also don’t adjust vertically without moving the brake and clutch leavers. Makes no sense. When you see the same parts on multiple bikes that is just a way for Ducati to save money. Glad they work for somebody. 👍🏼
Owned a Scrambler in the past but own a Hyper Motard nd both hd the biggest pile of poop mirrors I have ever seen on a bike....considering how premium the rest of the bike is I can't wrap my brain around why they make such a choice. The Multi-Strada mirrors are great which are the same as these you are replacing.......it must be the way the bike vibrates because on my Pikes Peak they are solid
It is crazy. Two bikes with the same OEM mirrors and both literally refuse to stay in place over 200. So far the bar ends are great but my view is not improved…then again, looking back is over rated. Haha
@@streetsandpeaks3013 The Hyper mirrors were the cheapest things I have ever seen on a bike. The 950SSS are well designed but vibrate. Your V2 is a much smoother engine vs the 937 but I am surprised that those mirrors do not work for you, they are great on my Pikes Peak.....best of luck!
The Ducati Mirrors fold in at speed @160-180kph. The Oxford mirrors are 50/50 - one is solid at any speed, and one folds at 180kph. The part that folds at speed is not adjustable so pretty sure eventually there will be another video with “new mirrors again”.
You mean gas mileage? No idea. A little worse maybe than the Monster 937 … but I ride fast all the time. I’ll look at the mileage next time I get on the bike. 👍🏼
