The summer garden is winding down, but the autumn plantings are growing well. It was a very strange growing season from spring this year as some things such as zucchini didn’t do so well. Still, the jalapeños and kabocha squash seem to be doing well.
I also made a delicious honey-mustard baked chicken dish this week and here’s the link: Honey Mustard Chicken Recipe:

Good day everyone! I’ve received a few messages recently that some of you haven’t been receiving notifications of my posts. I’ve spoken to RU-vid Creator Support and they’ve provided some solutions:
Problems with notifications? The common reasons why a subscriber will not receive notifications.
1. They are not actually subscribed to your channel, but are confused by “Recommended video” notifications.
2. Their bell icon setting is set to “personalized” rather than “all” notifications. This resets if they unsubscribe and resubscribe.
3. Their greater RU-vid notification settings are set to “None” for channel notifications.
4. They aren’t logged in.
5. Their device level notification settings are overriding their RU-vid settings
Another reasons viewers may not be receiving notifications.
1. They already received the maximum number of notifications from your channel that day.

Thanks for your patience and continued support. It means a lot to me.

Good morning Robert… Alice here from Mesa, AZ. Weather has cooled of to 90’s during the day. Okra goes PERFECT in vegetable soup. Your garden looks so inviting. I’m getting ready to plant some vegetables. Didn’t try to grow anything this summer. 138-145° in the sun things don’t grow so well. Have a wonderful day. 🙏🙏

Good morning Alice! I’m looking forward to soup season coming once the weather cools down some. Hopefully my Kabocha pumpkins will grown well so that I can make some soups with them, too. The heat this year has made it very hard to get things here to grow. Have a great weekend. 👍🏾🤩🐶

18:08 is the prettiest I have ever seen it - and Mt. Fuji at sunset is absolutely lovely - you caught a lovely spectacle... thank you for sharing it, Robert! Man, seeing your casserole this morning made me quite hungry for that yummy looking dish, for some reason. I wonder why? (smile!) And the mixed fruit cobbler pie... sure looked scrumptious! Glad you got SOME of your Swiss chard before the bugs had a feast. I wish you had a trail camera to make a time-lapse of these things - to see the bugs going to town on your generosity. At least we'd know who or what is chomping the leaves to bits. Rather disappointing. That netting seems to help. Haru continues to be such a wonderful buoyant personality... a real delight and wonderful companion for you! Thanks so much for the delightful addition to your growing library, Robert! Hope you continue to have a wonderful weekend, my friend!

You look like you can hold your own in the kitchen. That chicken looked delicious, the cobbler did too. 😊 I have heard that kudzu is eatable. You might want to look into that. It looks like you can have a good harvest of it. Also your pineapple are looking great. I would say next spring, tip the pineapple on their side (in the pot) for 24-48 hours then set them back up. If they are ready to fruit that is when they will do it. Also after they fruit you need to watch the stocks that the fruit is on. If the fruit gets too big for the stock you will have to support them. If you happen to have to pick one too small because of the stock don’t fret, you can eat core and all on the smaller ones. 👍🏼

Hello Robert, nice to see you. I was nice to see you in the kitchen. It’s a drag when the pest take the vegetation and spoil the produce I felt for you don’t you hate when those spray bottles just stop working they just stop working, but it’s great when you find another alternative Through the same thing with my spray bottles that sunset of Mount Fuji was spectacular. Take care of yourself. Have a great evening.

@@TheKamakuraGardener wow RU-vid just suggested a different video of yours. It was the one called how we need vitamin D. I think four years ago and I was watching how you were showing the landscape in front of your balcony and the difference between that Katsu weed now from four years ago is astronomical, that’s crazy. I’m shocked that they don’t cut that down as it’s so invasive anyway great videos take care, Robert.

Hi Robert & Haru! Greetings! The honey mustard chicken dish looks absolutely delicious & tender. The fruit cobbler looks tasty as well...I have a quick question. How do you go about preparing the goya (the bitter melon) you mentioned? Wishing you & Haru a beautiful week! Peace & Light Pamela
@TheKamakuraGardener
@TheKamakuraGardener 20 дней назад
Hello!👋🏾 The dish was very tasty. 😋 The best way to prepare the Goya is to cut it in half and scoop out the seeds and the white pithy flesh. Then cut the halves into thin slices and sprinkle salt on them. Wait until 10 minutes and then rinse them well and dry them with a paper towel. Then add them to a stir fry of meat, usually pork or spam. Here’s a quick recipe: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bp-a5y8rY28.htmlsi=QxT03ys2DmKKJSIl I hope this helps. 👍🏾🤩🐶
