I know they have to keep changing things to stay relevant but it's interesting to think about what Disney had or what they will get rid of in the future. Eventually it is nothing more than a memory so it's great it can be documented now.
Yes, change is inevitable. Just imagine if Adam is still occasionally visiting WDW in 20 years at age 70 making vlogs. What changes will we see? Perhaps Space Mountain will be gone?
Why do I love listening to Adam the Woo so much! Even when he is just talking about a cup of coffee, I am drawn in. I smile just listening to how he perceives his surroundings
DinoLand was Disney's recreation of the small roadside Dinosaur Parks that we had back in the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s. The Dinosaur Park that I went to as a kid was "Lost World" in Scotts Valley California along highway 17 (torn down in 1977). I think the younger generations (adults) don't get DinoLand because they didn't have the childhood experience of the roadside Dinosaur Parks, but kids enjoy DinoLand just as I enjoyed Lost World back when I was a kid in the 1970s.
I remember not "getting" Dinoland when I went to Animal Kingdom back in 2010. But then I saw a video about the story behind it and all the little bits of lore hidden in it. I really want to go explore it before it's gone but I don't think I'll get to. Thanks for documenting it!
Dinosaur was actually the complete opposite of a straight-to-VHS movie, it was a MASSIVE investment for Disney and the most expensive computer animated film ever at the time.
Dinosaur was originally call "Countdown to Extinction." It was renamed Dinosaur to be more in line with that movie. There are a few CTX symbols in the Dinosaur ride that hint back to it's original name.
Even though I don’t have passes anymore, I’m sad to see Dinosaur go. It was a real gem of a ride. I know the Indiana Jones ride that uses the same vehicles is more popular, but honestly I’d take Dinosaur over it any day.
I've never been to WDW, but whenever I see clips of the T-Rex (or similar scary dino), I think of Larry the Scary Rex in Clifford with Martin Short from 1994. Idk if that's the movie Gary was referencing, but it's always my first association.
Mr the Woo described that one area perfectly. It doesn't look like it belongs in Disney, but it's also pretty cool that they have it there. Replicating a county fair setting brings back some good childhood memories. One funnel cake please.
When Adam said there will be alot of Disney videos this month, he wasn't freaking kidding! You'd almost think there's also other places to go too in northern Florida and Southern Florida. NOPE! Just flexing the passhole golden ticket almost all month. I do like watching his videos, but damn! Laying on the Disney content REALLY thick.
Yes. Same crap, different day. Why not visit key west or palm beach or Naples etc. unless he flies , he is now lazy s as bad just repeats. So why do people still watch????
Truth. As much as I travel when I’m home I don’t want to go far. Stay very local and do lots of the Disney parks here in town.this will continue forward when I’m home. No desire to drive to north or south Florida when I am “home”
Now that you've brought it up there will be one tonight then no mention of it for a week. Don't take his word for anything though. Don't hold him accountable. He won't stand for it.
It really makes me sad this whole area is going away. I wish they could have updated dinosaur and moved all the new stuff to another area. I love this area so much. Im so glad we got to see it one last time in September
The 227 reference is appreciated...When I see that number, I have the same thought about that show and watching it with my baby sitter when I was a kid.😃
I stayed at all star sports by McDonald’s Adam is at litterly this time last year and was saying to my wife I’d love to meet Adam the woo. We met Tim and Jen tracker on the 2st night of Mickeys Christmas party . Gutted we didn’t meet Adam . Man what a difference a year makes haha
I have never known of Dinoland. What a colorful, kitchy, nostalgic amusement park. I had fun walking around with you, thanks for the trip. It would be great for someone to move the whole park to someplace in the middle of Rt 66!I was last at Disneyland in 1980 and Epcot the year they opened.
I think it puts an “!” on why they are changing Dinosaur to Indy when there is only a 10 minute wait at 11:30. Disneyland would have easily a 45 wait for Indy by that time.
My youngest kids really enjoyed the huge play area in Dinoland. They are 2 and 1. There’s a bunch of slides and then across a walkway is a big dig area that’s nice and shaded.
I know that Dinoland never really got any love. One thing that I will miss is the convertible car photo op. My son and I took a photo there every time we visited AK from when he was a little boy until this past summer as an 18 year old. I am sad to see that opportunity go by the wayside but I am glad we got one more photo this past year.
I will miss it with my entire heart. I worked at animal kingdom for about a year, our management was right behind dinosaur backstage, you would always hear the music and sometimes we would get to ride dinosaur during the dvc events 😢
Fun fact those cones cost about $20-40 a piece too. I use cones everyday at work so that’s what I think about when I see all the cones lined up at parks. Every park has their own color cones too.
While my kids had a fantastic time in the boneyard when they were small, Dinoland is probably the one land/attraction that we won't miss. We are looking forward to the Indiana Jones ride! 😀
I’ll miss dinoland I won my daughter a stuffed toy on the basketball game on her first ever Disney world visit. I also understand things change so excited to see what it will become.
In my opinion Dinosaur ride is way underrated. The theming and story are great. It’s all physical animatronic. No video screens. The ride vehicles can be rough at times but I love it.
I really hope when Dinoland is rethemed to Tropical Americas they add some animal enclosures too that feature animals from Central America, South America & The Caribbean
Looks like Disney World is Las Vegas always changing tearing down the old replace it with the new. Yep I guess that happens everywhere. Yes, it does, except maybe in Europe, where there are buildings hundreds of years old that still stand.
Dinoland is one of those areas no one really appreciated it until they announced it was going away. Dinosaur was always underrated, and the theming was classic Disney imagineering.
I hope you have a wonderful trip to our beautiful State of Alaska!! It truly is the most beautiful place in the world! Definitely come to Palmer; it’s so Charming. Hopefully you will see Denali, which is the tallest mountain in the world from base to top. It is truly spectacular!!🌄🫎🏔️
Though Dino Land looked cool I think it’s a bit outdated I think the change will be good for that park. Animal Kingdom is a great looking park I was amazed when I went this year for the first time. Loved the tree of life.
We will be in Anaheim in December for 5 days. DLR the 14 and 15th. Maybe we will meet you. I've met Justin. We got pics and a video of him doing an outro for us. I still want to meet Dave and Liz, Miguel and Jenelle, and Peter and Kitra in person, and I will be a happy camper. Oh, also, Jackie and Sam someday. Lisa from Lisaland would also be awesome.
@steveb4018 I am not sure that is true. He may not want to meet people he doesn't know very well. He may not want to meet me. However, he has gone to places I suggested so... Have you personally experienced that? I've been following Adam since 2017 and haven't heard that. He promotes other youtubers.
How can you go to Animal Kingdom and not go on the Safari? I know you were there to pay tribute to Dinoland. What a shame such incredible theming is going to be scrapped. I wonder if any of it will end up for sale ? I’d definitely be interested in acquiring a piece of Dinoland history!!
DinoLand shows that Disney has been doing "WTF!" areas & attractions well before today's Tiana's or the airport-lounge Communicore. Although the de-theming of Disney hotels is of the more recent past.
227 Marla Gibbs, also the Housekeeper on The Jefferson's. The first other Marla that I knew of. If you are a Marla and you are watching this, how many times have you been called MARiA? It's marLa, not MARiA!!!
u know mcdonalds don't clean out there coffee maker and its moldy and stuff and the reason is they don't know how. so never eat or drink anything form there.
Adam I liked the video that you posted yesterday at the vintage post office and the demolition of the Desert Inn. You were right when you said that it is fascinating how time passes on, and how people will look back on the videos we put out today and put a face with our name. Imagine 200 years from now people watching a Clark Gable movie or The film Back To The Future?
How many time do you have to tell us you are going to Alaska and Hawaii? I like watching your videos but you repeat your self so many times it gets irritating . I am going to watch the videos with the volume turned down.
I hate change, why can’t they just expand instead of replace. Like Pandora expanded to make more fun. I love Dinoland USA. Even the kids and everyone who grew up with this attraction. But Replace is the worst decision to waste money on. So Expand not Replace.
Wow I can't believe how long that Dinoland USA has been there. I last went in October 2008. I really loved that place because it had like this innocence to it that the world hadn't touched it yet and messed it up. It was the same no matter how many times you went. Like an old carnival or fair. Sad to see it go but for the better.
That was the McD's we stopped at first back in like 2009, the first time we took our daughter to DW. She was almost 5 years old at the time. She's 19 now! 😭
