Bro I may not have been around when vhs came out but because my dad when I was vary young kept a vhs player in the house I would go to value village and buy a bunch of old vhs tapes witch was how I found the original Pokémon anime and I still own broly the legendary super saiyan on vhs too so I have a lot of memories when it comes to vhs chan

VHS chan still has plenty of time left in her. with all the interesting gems for riff tracking that you can get for cheap at flea markets and Goodwill. I can't see her genuinely dying for some time yet..
Happened to me with the ice maker when I worked at Wendy's. She was one of those big ice chest type makers. Her name was Aurora, she had a bit of a mean streak, constantly dropping the lid on my head as I was scooping out ice, but we eventually came to an understanding. It was hard to say goodbye when I changed jobs. Thank God I have actual friends, or that'd be kinda sad. 😅
After that she’s gone.... with the last time you will ever watch something with her as the tape got stuck in her socket. Life is unfair and unpredictable, Life is a raging storm in the middle of the ocean. Life is not pretty.... But the memories is and always will be the most precious thing she has given you. That is what you thought as you wave her goodbye. “Thanks for never leave me alone and all those time we recorded those shows together.... Goodbye”.... and~~~ you found someone who can repair her.

@@ThatWolfArrow Because in reality, I really do have VHS cam recordings dating back to my parent's wedding to some recordings of when I was a baby. Lots of family history within those rolls of film.

Yep, and even after that I'll make sure to get new hardware to play the tapes I have and I will make sure to keep getting tapes from thrift stores and such.

I find the whole self-driving cars thing interesting, but I am skeptical and would prefer to drive on my own if possible when self-driving cars become very widespread and are on level 4 or even 5 of autonomy. People of future generations will probably laugh at me for wanting to be *driving* instead of *riding* my car. I don't care how traffic safe they make the self-driving systems, any self-driving cars of level 5 are completely under a computer's control
I will never forget VHS, that was one of the many old school tech I had growing up, and I would watch them all the time! They have a special place in my heart.
Struggle we did. I had several tapes get eaten by the player. Also, nothing like your mom or a sibling recording over something you really wanted to keep.
Damn... this actually gave me the feels. I remember when I was about 10 years old I constantly used VHS tapes to record and watch stuff. I would record episodes of Ed Edd N Eddy and another show called Sitting Ducks. Literally had the VHS locked and loaded for when the episodes would come on. Then I would save them and days I was bored rewatch them again and again. I had about 5 different tapes filled with episodes. That simple fun life feels like a thousand years ago... (i'm going to be 30 soon)

I still remember how my dad would register Pokemon episodes for me in the morning while I was at school and how much fun I had watching them when I came back. One could say VHS-chan was one of my best childhood friends. In fact, it's also one of the only ones that are still with me. This video made me want to check if I can still watch some of my old tapes.

I still have them. It’s nice to pull out an old tv and have fun watching the good times again. Back when the most frown worthy thing about Disney were direct-to-VHS sequels that were still good on their own merits.
