Manuel Orozco - I actually like her rendition more than Shirley's ☺. I'm here because I saw The Music Man in full on RU-vid. I was expecting it to be the 1962, but I went ahead with it when I saw it had Matthew Broderick (he played the Prince in the Cinderella television episode from Faery Tale Theatre), Kristin Chenoweth, and Victor Garber (from The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow, who also played Christopher's father in the Brandy version of Cinderella, but I think you might already know that).
oh man i loved this play, one of the most amazing musicals i ever had the joy of being in. Shipoopi was a wonderfully fun musical number and then you had ones like this that were simply touching like my white knight.
There was this boy I really liked, we lived in the same apartment building and he lived in the third floor and I lived in the second floor. One day in class we watched the movíe And every night I would look up the ceiling and sing this song to him. Sadly he never liked me and he is a playboy. I'm 11 and this is the audition song for sixth grade girls looking for a singing part in the play... MUST GET SINGING PART!! I love this song, its so beautiful, and i'm can't believe i have the honor of singing it as my audition song... Now if only I could sing it as well as Kristin Chenoweth...
There is no easy trick to being able to reach high notes or sing in vibrato. Only practice. But if you get a shaky voice when you get nervous, you can mimic a vibrato while you are singing and nervous, but it's still all about (LOTS of) practice and learning control though that practice.
I will be auditioning in June for Music Man KIDS and I’m trying out for Marion and I hope I get it. I have done three productions. Aladdin Jr. as a guard and ensemble. I did Cinderella KIDS as Anastasia. At my school I did the wizard of oz and I got Glinda. Wish me best of luck

Please don't worry too much about the technical details~hitting the notes isn't everything (though, admittedly, it does help sometimes :) You got the part because your music teacher knew you could do it. Enjoy it while you can~it's a treasure.
