Great idea for putting the logo on recycled shirts you’ve picked up! It’s a great way to get you merch out cheaply, reuse items that wouldn’t sell for nearly as much otherwise, and precisely sums up what you do Josh. And each one will be a ‘one of a kind piece’ this way. Way to go and I look forward to purchasing one of these.

I have always loved buying and selling and love going to garage sales and thrift stores but never really thought about getting into selling on eBay until I started watching your channel about three months ago. My wife and I went picking a few different stores and a friends garage and made $400 and our first two weeks of eBay sales! Next time a clothes rack is too full, just take some of the clothes & lay them across your cart temporarily, then you would have enough room to look through the items! Easy peasy! 😄 Absolutely loved this video!

Both of the Goodwills in my area have clothes and goods that look like they were pulled out of the dumpster. Shoes are always overly worn, and in the rare case that a good pair comes in they are put in a special case and are marked up to a price that you couldn't flip them. There is a bins location that's about 45 minutes away that isn't much better. You are very fortunate that you live in an area with such high quality Goodwill stores.

this is the norm for most goodwills. What happen to the 25 cent shirts and the dollar jeans? Those are true goodwills. Im wondering why this is, since they are subsiddized when they hire people with disabilies. And on top of that they dont allow full time employment, 37 hours a week and they dont have to pay the benefits because its not considered full time @ 37 hrs a week. THIS IS JUST THE CORPORATIONS PUSHING PEOPLE TO BUY NEW GOODS. CONSUMERISM AT ITS FINEST!!!!!!

Josh, I absolutely love you and Hayley and your videos! I just started selling on eBay and Mercari in August. Early in my re-selling journey, I had great luck with shoes. I love the reselling community and how supportive everyone is. My husband is so envious of my business. He would love to quit his corporate job and join me, and I would love him to, but he is pretty clueless about flipping. He watches snippets of re-selling videos I watch, but he needs more hands-on experience and he's not willing. I was blessed to inherit "my eye" from my mom. She was a master at spotting treasure. She wasn't a re-seller but was a collector.

Y’all had a great day especially with those shoes. I had to cut my eBay store down to 10-15 listings a week due to my full time job but my last 2 goodwill hauls I only spent $23 and so far I’m close to $180 in sales before fees. The best find was a giant vintage Fender guitar promo/display pick I found at our bins for 65 cents that sold for $80 😳

I am so jealous!!! Here in California, at least in my county, Tops/Shirts are a minimum of $7. Everything is so "expensive" in our Goodwill's and Salvation Army, I just stopped going because their prices were higher than GW. The stores are small, there is hardly anything to choose from, unless you travel a couple of hours to Sacramento, which I do a couple times a year to source. I'm amazed at the brands you find too!!

Goodwill was very nice to me, but some of my "friends" were getting hit by other people's carts and getting irritated. I stayed away from the fray and scored $200 worth of stuff for $5. They zig, got hurt, I zag and score. Great idea on the clothing!

Josh, One of my first jobs was working at a shoe store on Main St. Hendersonville NC. If you display one shoe in a window it will become lighter in color than the other, always show both in the display window. That’s my take on the color difference. Ok, so I watched this video a few days ago. I was doing some thrift store sourcing today and found a 1973 electric typewriter. It came with the case, all the original paperwork with it including the proof of purchase. I never would have considered it, but it was $6, and sold comps were over $100 plus shipping. So yeah... I bought my first typewriter today. I am not looking forward to all the tedious detailing that needs to be done, but she is beautiful. So thanks? lol

I have made over $6,000.00 off of my last $200.00 spent at local thrift stores but postage really eats into the profit margin. My best Goodwill purchase is a Faberge bowl that sold for over $800.00 and was purchased for $2.99 ... Yesterday we bought a set of Lenox miniature lighthouses and shelves for $7.99 and shipped them out for $150.00 today. 👍 I think 🤔 I made a video about the Faberge bowl... don't remember the title .

I’m always amazed at the shoes you find. I guess the difference in our areas. The shoes I see at my local Salvation Army and good will are 😳😳😳 well I fear just picking them up…no amount of cleaning could help them. And the brands 😡 never a good brand. I buy lots of shoes on POSHMARK so I’m not afraid of used shoes, believe me, I just never have luck at the local stores. I appreciate all the work you do recycling things that have lots of life left. @hairytornado discoloration in one shoe usually happens because they were on display in shoes store and they didn’t rotate them resulting in pale color in one shoe caused by sunshine.

not sure if you and Hayley know about sublimation printing on t-shirts, etc? It would be a lower learning curve and maybe less expensive to start up. sublimation ink is turned to a gas when you apply pressure and heat...resulting in the image actually becoming a part of the fabric. no fading, no thread pulls, no cracking. I also make sublimation drink tumblers, key chains, baseball hats, coats, etc and you could put your Friends image on any of those things, merchandising!

It has to be a polyester fabric to sublimate. If a tshirt is cotton it won’t sublimate unless you coat the area first with a poly primer spray. Not only is it hard to find a quality dye sub spray that won’t yellow after heat pressing but it is an expensive prep step. Embroidery is definitely a less expensive but very high quality finished product. I have two dye sub setups and three embroidery machines and rarely se the dye sub for clothing as it’s just so limited unless it’s 100% poly clothing or a high poly blend fabric (white fabric that will come out looking only partially dyed because the natural fiber content will not take the dye.)

If you want to put support your friends on t-shirts it might be better to get a heat press and use vinyl. On thinner materials like t-shirts, embroidery can bunch the material or make holes. I would save embroidering for jackets and maybe polo golf shirts. And you can print vinyl right from a cricut which is also not crazy expensive! My family owned a heat printing and embroidery business so I know the ins and outs lol. Good luck😊🤞

The thrift store I often go to has it's racks just like the one you showed that is packed with stuff. It's nice because I can often get a lot of things, but it is kind of frustrating trying to see each item.
