I'm a brand new subscriber! Glad I found your channel. I appreciate that you don't move your camera too fast over items. I love to look at EVERYTHING and, like you, I tap items, too, to see if it's plastic, wood, porcelain..... Some of my favorite things came from GoodWill stores. Love rustic metal decor, pottery and vases in shades of white and silver plated things with patina. Thanks for taking us along on your Goodwill hunting trips 😃👍

Concerning chips, I bought a little spoon, I guess it's called? Little thing where you set spoons/spatulas for cooking on the stove, from TJ Maxx that had two chips on it. But the design on it was a big sunflower, and since that's my favorite one and the chips weren't on the sunflower, I went ahead and got it. I have zero regrets hahaha

You missed the milk glass granny boot. Milk glass collectors would die for that.

I most definitely would have gotten those metal trays! You chalk paint them and then paint white lines for kids to practice writing! Also, that mid century modern glass with the golden leaves, I have a set of 6 in s tray, shot glasses and chip&dip bowl set. It was my parents from their wedding shower in 1961

I would have purchased that stripped sheet for quilting! A good washing and that would have made an excellent quilt backing! 👍🏾

I would have grabbed the Jadite green metal tray... rust and all. Treat it with some polyurethane to protect from further rusting and call it a day. It was beautiful.

That radio is a 1942 Philco. I have two 1941 Philco radio/phonograph consoles, one is a family set. They both work beautifully. and the cabinets are in mint condition.

We all have a few nicks and scratches on us....... go back and pick up that BEAUTIFUL GREEN TRAY*** LOVE IT......

I like finding nice Christmas mugs in good shape and filling them with treats or candy for Christmas gifts for co-workers or neighbors or the mailman.

Yes I will buy of chipped lol - I found a head case and she has broken eye lash and a few chips but I love her. - I love kitsch stuff! I always pick it up and I also pick up the nursery planters. :)

My grandchildren (ages 10, 7, 5, 2) love nesting dolls. If I had seen them, I would have bought them.

When I'm thrifting I look at the bottoms of ceramic pieces. I pick up made in Japan, or really collectible occupied Japan. I tend to stay away from holiday decor, unless it's an antique. At Easter time I love finding antique bunnies to go in my cloche's.

As a tea drinker and a lover of tea parties, I have bought lots of china tea cups and saucers, I set the table with different patterns and it is beautiful and makes a nice gift for a tea lover.

I think I would gotten the green tray, because it seems so many of the metal trays have a little damage anyway. For Christmas i just love 40s 50s 60s vintage items but love bells, deer, and angels. I went to the Goodwill you went to and luckily I stayed long enough where they put out some fun stuff. Found a Napco 1962 angel planter.

I liked the old trays especially the green one, doily, and the tree topper.

I would have snatched up those spell books for my Halloween decor 🧙🏻‍♀️. My favorite peanuts character is Linus. I gravitate towards snowmen ⛄️, but I love Santa too. That radio was stunning! Beautiful doily.

Goofed on the green glasses. I have heard that goodwill is going on eBay before pricing their stuff. If I really like something I will get it even if it’s not perfect, to me it has the much loved look to it. Love pitchers, doilies, baskets, and sugar and creamer sets. My go to Christmas decorations are snowmen, but I do have a few Santa’s and my tree is decorated with cardinals, poinsettias, etc.

the vintage pink depression glass is my favorite. i also have a few of the blue & lavender depression glass sets. they have a florescent glow to them. i display them in my lighted kitchen cabinet. so pretty.

I’m a penguin collector. Christmas styles come out at Christmas but most are not and above my cabinets. I also love vintage glass ornaments. I’ve been collecting vintage jewelry, crystal, and odds and ends pieces of miscellaneous items that remind me of things from my childhood mom had in the house or at grandparents homes for years. You never know what you’ll find where. I also craft so thrift stores are a great place for unique things to add into my projects. That green tray I would have bought for my decor. The black ones I would have repainted and decoupaged.

Your Goodwill is so neat and clean. Ours is so full of stuff all the time you can’t move one thing without knocking something else over. Love your videos, new to them. Very informative.

I buy some vintage pieces with small chips if I love the piece. You got me hooked on the cute nursery planters. I saw one the other day and was so tempted to get it because it was cute. I love snowmen for the holidays or stars. Love the topper! Some of the damaged/worn out looking pieces might do well with people who love farmhouse decor. I've been looking for things with wear and distress lately, like vintage ceiling tins.

I think if you really like a piece buy it. If a chip is small it's ok.

I love the Charlie Brown items. I have come across items at the Goodwill outlet and picked up a few. I collect Santas by the way. I will pick up a chipped item if the beauty or uniqueness of it out ways the flaws. I love the Texas box! I love the trays you viewed. Your store had a great selection, like you said some prices are crazy. I love the dolly with the rose too. I pick them up as well as certain linens. Love watching your videos.

I normally wouldn't buy chipped or cracked but there are some things truly vintage that are said to still hold value. Unless I knew for sure it was worth something....maybe.

Definitely Snoopy! I like snowmen and actually made a lighted snowman wreath this past year and left it out until February. 😊⛄️ Oh, the juice decanter with yellow fruit and top, that was a Folgers coffee container. Instant coffee came in it in the 70’s. I had 2 of them at one time. It was at 1:08.

I just picked up on ebay a seldom seen Pyrex Brittany Blue mixing bowl with a small chip on the bottom. It is only visible when you turn the bowl upside down. If a chip or slight imperfection exists on a piece, I usually will overlook it, if it does not seriously detract from the overall item’s appearance. Nice job on this video! That Easter bunny tin was very cute. Thank you for sharing.🙂

I have always been a Snoopy fan! My faves are Snoopy, Woodstock, Pig Pen, and Good old Charlie Brown too. I had the original Peanuts Colorforms set when I was a little girl in the early 70s. I wish I still had it.

I never would have thought to sell cribbage boards! Thanks for that bit of info. My 7-yr-old says Snoopy is the best, but I like Linus. Oh, also I like whatever is not Santa. So when I find great Santas I put them in the booth, but not tempted to keep 'em!

Nicole, you asked if I pick up pieces that are chipped. When I am out thrifting for resale, I always ask myself if I would be willing to spend money (not thrift cost) on a piece that is damages. I usually don't pick up damaged pieces. I surely have in the past, but I try to avoid them now. Sally is my favorite Peanuts character, she was born the same year I was. Santa is my favorite Christmas décor character. You made my smile when you mentioned me, thank you so much. I ended up 'painting' the large clothes pins that I thrifted with shoe polish from the DT. We had that Virgin Mary vase in our house when I was a kid.

I still buy things with flaws. Especially jadeite since its so hard to find. Also....I love kitschy things!

I had a snoopy Christmas tree this past year! I also really love penguins but they’re harder to find for decorations

I would have picked up the Peanuts mug, I had a Charlie Brown red vinyl lunch box when I was young(it would be vintage now!) I also would have taken the tree topper you picked up. I so jealous of the Goodwills I see on here, mine is cluttered and a bit unorganized and the prices are getting out of control. I don't mind something that is chipped if it is small or on the backside if the item is for me. Sometimes, it's hard to fine pristine items or you don't see minor flaws until you get home. I am fairly new to your channel (a couple of weeks) but I really enjoy it thank you.

Grab that Peanuts mug!! Lucy is my favorite. As for chips etc, it all depends as to what the damage is. Some chips and dents add character! Snowmen are my go to at Christmas .

I used to decorate with snowmen, but I had so many - hundreds, that I have started giving them away. I like stars and anything that says Believe! I saw a sign you passed by with Joy- Peace - and something else, I probably would have bought that.

I have had my eye out for those holiday mini loaf pans, because I grow pumpkins each year and make pumpkin bread. They make nice gifts to give the bread with the pan and the recipe. On eBay some people were asking $4 a piece.

I saw the little blue jug with ilfracome Devon written on it that is in the uk and not far from where I live . Was so surprised to see it in another country.

Love your videos. I am a new subscriber. Thanks for sharing your experiences. Full time RVng? Wow! My hubby and I did that for nearly 10 years. Fun times. But...not for everyone. You can't have "stuff" when you're on the road fulltime. Everything has to be practical and not very heavy. Lighter weight equals better gas mileage and less wear and tear on the vehicles. Wish you well on your journey!

Lately I've seen a lot of videos where they're using Super Glue to make repairs so keep that in mind when you are making selections to items that have little damages, you might be able to experiment with the super glue stuff and fix it. So I'll explain basically they're taking things like cigarette Ash, cigarette butts, baking soda Etc, making a mold around the broken piece with tape or parchment paper and sometimes filing or sanding it down to shape it.

It's too bad that green tray had damage, it was really pretty. Unless I LOVE the item & a small chip is in an unnoticeable spot I wouldn't get it-that's just me.. Nice idea for the large clothespin. If I find something I like that is chipped or broke that I personally like. Depending on the price I will get it and do a cosmetic fix for my enjoyment. It makes my day when I see it transformed because of me.

No chipped stuff! I liked that vase made in Brazil.

I hide a lot of chips with colored magic markers, it just depends on where and how badly it's chipped.

I prefer nutcrackers for Christmas ❤️

I do pick up items that have chip issues, I collect vintage cookie jars, and these sometimes have chips around the top areas. I can repair and match color and have become pretty skilled in doing these repairs. I do pass up pieces that are cracked.

Terrific items in that Goodwill, I would have got the black flowered trays. Toss up for me Snoopy-Linus. Snowmen I prefer, but decorate with Santa and Gingerbread as well. Prefer no chips especially for resale but if I love an item and the flaw is not terrible I'll pick it up depending on price. That doily was lovely and a well made one hope you got that, and loved the tree top you did say you were getting.
