Guys, my father came to this country from northern Italy. He was a terrazzo worker. He was 18 and alone. He worked rockafella center during o,p,a a depression era program an much later the 1964 worlds fair he did a terrazzo floor with the map of the USA in the n.y.city pavilion. So proud.he came on a work visa. Promaced to learn English, never go on welfare and never broke any laws. He did the hall floors at Fordham U. Where my daughter graduated. Full circle. Love it.

I think that bull 'money clip' that you showed at the end is actually a bookmark. The page (or a few pages together is a little more secure) slips between the metal blades.

I grew up going to German Christmas markets from 72 to 96. They are amazing. I bought so many hand blown ornaments. Christmas in Germany is amazing

Laura, as much as I loved your trip to Europe (you were so VERY lucky for having snow in Bavaria), visiting München (Munic) und Schloss Neuschwanstein and all, I just like the most when you go thrifting at Goodwill in the States, as we have no such stores in Germany and I just like it, when you walk along and find stuff. We have a guitar, a base, 2 fiddles, a mandolin, a piano & an electronic keyboard. And neither of us can play a thing! Great haul today. Especially with a slow start.
