This one cuts deep. Throughout YEARS of substance abuse, I've seen so many things I wouldn't wish on anyone. I've been through some things i wouldn't wish on anyone. After all the bullshit I finally woke up and realized i was either going to die or rot in a jail cell. So i got sober. I've been sober for 2 years now and I still don't feel like the person I used to be. A hollow interior. Time heals everything though. I'm 3 years removed from a spinal cord injury that nearly killed me and left my life in ruins. In the darkest depths of despair I almost gave up so many times, and if not for my children I would have. As I continue to fight to walk again and take my life back, this song resonates with me on levels I can't properly convey.

I don't understand how this song hasn't blown up.

Understand those feelings all too well. Best we can do is keep on trying.
