@@itol2201 Moreso has to do with the fact that he voiced Shingo since 97 and people were worried that he might be replaced cause SNK changed alot of the VAs after XIII, although he already reprised his role in AS but ig not everyone knew.

And his Shingo voice still have this youthful vigor and goofiness, very different than his typecast of serious and deep voices.

The Dan of KOF is actually Yuri.

I think Shingo should add a prop/gadget that enable him to wield flames. Also CVS Sakura is a more an accurate representation of her character than MVC Sakura particularly about her Hadokens imo.

@@AznKei1 He originally had that, he used a lighter to mimic the Kusanagi’s flames. But recently in KOF 15, in one of his specials he actually manages to create flames from thin air, reacting surprised by this. Sadly this flames are orange instead of blue, compared to how he did in the KOF Gaiden.

@@proximaeon I've seen 03 and been looking for 3 years, but there's no mention of a lighter in the Japan Team ending or anything about it! Unless it's one of those fan theories on TV Tropes. The main thing of that ending is Shingo thinking he made flames, but it's in his mind as he talked about in his interview.

Its more a "Trained him wrong as a joke" situation, with Kyo halfassing everything and not giving needs to know information about the Kusanagi style. And Saisyu QUADRUPLE DOWN on it, because he like Shingo that much. And then, Shingo got Isekai'd be Truck-kun and only comeback in XV.

But man, it's great to see him earn it unlike most characters who got them through bloodlines and experimenting. Plus, they're different from the rest and works well for Shingo's progression.

Fun fact, you can do his Air Shingo Kick instantly by doing a Backdash, and then the input, so basically: ⬅️⬅️~⬇️↘️➡️+K. Doing it this way gives you one of the most reliable punishes in the game for regular fireballs. Just saying.

I find he beats projectiles no problem bc most of his ex moves nearly cross the whole screen.

Let's be honest, Dan is cooler than Sean. Especially in modern SF games.

Could be pure copium on my part but I really do think he’ll eventually make it in as dlc in SF6. That game is gonna have lots of dlc characters over the next several years just like SFV did and I bet he’ll be one of em. Also think Dudley and makoto both make it in as well especially them 2 cus the community has been asking for them for awhile now

In KOF XI, the Kusanagi and Yagami team were too injured to attend due to the Orochi shenanigans when Iori went Riot of Blood and attacked both of his teammates. The trophy and win went to the Elisabeth Team (Elisabeth, Duo Lon and Benimaru) instead according to Ash.

In 97 if in maxmode and his super 2 crits, the hit stun would last long enough for you to follow it up with the same super, literally instakilling them (100%+ damage)

Dan was a mockery of Ryo and Robert. SNK snapped back with Yuri being the Dan of KOF. You can look up compilation of Yuri copying Capcom's Shoto characters. Capcom and SNK were like Sega and Nintendo back in the day. I'm really hoping for a Capcom vs SnK 3.
