I may as well say it here, Dan is a ludicrously talented fighter, and his ability to improve is hampered by his pride. Its pretty cool because those are usually traits you see in a villain, but Dan takes it to a whole different area, becoming lovable goofy. Dude completes barely any of the training Ryu and Ken did but can still somehow hang with them. That's incredible.
His fireballs may piff out at short range, but they're just as powerful as a standard Hadouken from either Ryu or Ken; and Dan is throwing them out one-handed, without the extreme training that either of them undergo. Just imagine how crazy-powerful he could be if he actually applied himself.
I love that there’s a Dan skin in SF4 where he’s wearing protective padding and it literally doesn’t raise his defense at all because it’s purely cosmetic.
I don’t care what anyone says, there were some online Dan’s in SF4 that were absolute ninjas. His backdash and Dan kicks are tricky as shit to play against.
Remember when Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition came out? The cover was half red and half blue because of Evil Ryu & Oni and Bison was in between Evil Ryu & Oni. Imagine how sick it would be if it was Gill between Evil Ryu & Oni
@@michaelmccoy1794 I want Oni to come to Street Fighter 5 as well. Street Fighter 4 bosses Seth & Evil Ryu (As Kage) are in Street Fighter 5 and even GILL is in Street Fighter 5! So Oni will also be a logical idea since Oni was in one of Kage's arcade endings.

Street Fighter 4 also had other characters from Street Fighter 3 like Makoto, Dudley & Ibuki and when Ultra Street Fighter 4 came out, Hugo, Elena & Poison, who made a cameo appearance in Street Fighter 3 in Hugo's intro, Taunts and winning poses were all added to the Street Fighter 4 roster. So I personally thought that it couldn't hurt to have Gill in Street Fighter 4

Don't forget such things like auto-placing you in the corner for corner only combos, or providing demonstrations so you can actually *see* what the combo does... oh and also not putting you in a trial and making you guess that you have to be in some super state (cough cough juri cough).
Max, you have taught me to love Training Mode. I always hated sitting around and reading numbers and resetting screens every 5 seconds, but recently I’ve come to love it! I’ve started getting into DBFZ and just sitting and figuring stuff out in Training is so much fun now! I remember in one of your DBFZ videos you talking about how that’s one of your favorite things to do in fighting games and now I finally get and appreciate it.
I swear to god. I have played Street Fighter games on some very hard difficulties, i managed to finish some of the hardest Extra Battles in SF5, i played against some god-tiers online, i managed to get pretty good Survival runs, but nothing, and i mean *NOTHING* of them comes even close to the frustrations i got when i was trying to finish *ANY* tutorial on *any* character!
I know you wont see this but max thank for making this videos they make me laugh and they make know how to play certain characters thank you being the uncle iroh in my life

It may be me but I always hated these trials. The timing on when and how you do these moves is SUPER tight especially when there's no videos on how to do these combos.
Looking back at SFIVs combo trials I kind off missed when combo trials got hard and difficult. Because it helps me play the character better without having to rely on outside help.
I can’t get into 5 because the skill ceiling is lower and theres fewer basic mechanics... I really miss the focus punch and using it efficiently separated the good players from the best...
@@onthedre same. I bought a PS4 solely for SFV and it was just not nearly as fun as this game. The new characters are great and the returning ones too but the game is just boring.
Recently grabbed USF IV on a sale and I am glad to know that I am not the only one that struggles with finding cancel windows lol. This game has some tight inputs lol.
Clearly, Dan is coming to SFV because of the legacy videos. He was never in development before hand. Legacy birthed him. Max, please use your newfound powers on an MvC legacy. We believe in you.
