I remember one in the eary 80s who fell down as she was coming on down in the middle of the show. She made it out of contestants' row, won her pricing game, got to the showcase, and won it. At the end of the show, she told Bob that winning all of that was worth falling down over, to which they shared a good laugh.
Bob ran a tight and well oiled show and always moved it along in a timely manner so I could see him getting a bit annoyed when someone couldn’t come up with a bid like they should be paying attention

Hoooooly moly! That is a *goofy lady* betting $301? against a $300 bid? WTH? And that red K.I.T.T. only had an AM radio? Seriously for a fancy sports car of the time? I'm surprised that it even had a passenger side view mirror. Those were optional at the time. And Bonnie seemed like she secretly scissors in Minnesota. I mean, commenting on how pretty Janice was and cupping a feel at the end, actually, checking out the merchandise. ✂✂✂
I remember watching a guy who looked like Vanilla Ice who fell coming to the contestants row. He got back up and pretended to be riding a horse. Bob thought it was hilarious. Lol
Say what you want about her as a contestant, but I'll bet she can split firewood like you wouldn't believe!!!I actually felt kind of bad for her. She's probably a genuinely nice person, like most people from Northern Minnesota
Without seeing what the other games are, I can't narrow it down to only one, but as far as I can best ascertain, this is either 3-17-83, 3-23-83, or 4-8-83.
Andrea Carpenter Because I'm a huge collector of old episodes of TPIR, and am very astute with these kinds of statistics, and since posting this comment, I have uncovered further information that knocks 4-8-83 out of consideration. It is definitely one of the March episodes.
Not enough of the episode present to give an exact date, but as best as I can tell, somewhere between January 1983 (has the purple-red-orange pattern on the Turntable) and September 1984 (still has the sportstype Big Wheel scoreboard)
The game side of the turntable is still all red(seen when they reveal the BBQ) with all panels of the turntable having the purple red orange pattern, which means this is from between January 1983-7/1/83. The game side of the turntable was all purple orange red like the other sides of the turntable starting on 8/22/83(week of shows aired in August to promote the premiere of the Phone Home Game) Most episodes from that era of the show aired on GSN.
It was just Hole in One until Summer 1986 when the show had another nighttime version, it was then they added the second chance. They carried it over into the daytime version about that time. Those summer 1986 shows also brought in new sets for Danger Price (still used), and Any Number (modified to include the 10 numbers with Drew Carey).
