@@That1Shroom Most foldables of this type have a narrower outer screen. this one is passport size, so you can easily access it from the closed screen without difficulty, unlike the Z Fold. because of its narrow width, it is difficult to type on the keyboard for example, or to look at content.
@@thatMexicanOTsnameisVirgil Lol 😆 Honestly I love the idea of one plus but I wish they had a higher tier model. I know budget is their thing but it sucks im forced to use Sammy. Pixel sucks and Verizon doesn’t support Xiaomi
I have a one plus and it's pretty nice. It has a major problem with it's charging port but other than that it's good. It also has a camera focusing problem. But I am about to trade it in for a razr+ @@Acid_Ash
I don't know what people have against these bezels. They look perfect to me. Lots of manufacturers experimented with early tablets, and discovered that thinner bezels lead to more accidental palm-clicks.
@@dyldog it's an old handheld game console. Came out around 2004 or 2005. It's the one that has 2 screens. One for normal and the other with touch screen thingy. Used to have a pen apparently. It has a great library of games. And it's next version the 3ds is one of the first consoles to have 3d games. I am a huge rpg fan since I love stories. And ot also has some really cool games. (ʘᴗʘ✿)
@@nemderzns0756 oh god you meant Nintendo DS💀 that came out in 2004 and the next version was actually the DS Lite 2 years later, bit thinner. Then the DSi 3 years after that, and then the 3DS and all its following updates. I’m assuming you’re younger than the DS which I thought was impossible
Also fort apps to scale properly on screen. Overall it’s usually better to wait for at leas a third gen to be sure. Especially for something as complex.
@@pali.prince6162I'm pretty sure there are millions of people around the world that have their phones repaired at some point. If no one had repairs done then there wouldn't be any repair shops left, would there?
Samsung's first folding phone was released in 2019, and they were pioneering a new space in the smartphone industry at the time. Google's first fold should be better or else they'd be going backwards.
@jonjoe89 yeah but samsung's external display being so small was intentional so that they could make the 2nd generation a huge leap by having a larger external display.
@@captainjames4649but comes with a cost, like sensors and other stuff. Honestly I don't care about the vessels if it has nice sensors (light sensor, proximity for calls and so on)
Tbh when you need that full unfold some thicker bezels are always useful especially during multitasking. I’ve had some accidental touches on my Galaxy Fold but ngl it still looks gorgeous.
Good thing the Pixel Fold does not have a camera cut hole on the inside screen. What is the point of having a larger folding screen when there is still that obstructing camera cut hole? Some Samsung fans are gonna get triggered. Chill y’all, I’m a Galaxy Note 9 user and imo that is the best android phone ever.
The chonky bezels actually seem like a good idea, giving you room to actually hold the phone without touching the screen and doing something you didn't intend to do.
I like the fact if folded it's like not tall but wide and I really like the design , I would personally a phone looking like this but without the inner screen
I think that Microsoft should focus on Operating Systems and laptops, but even when it comes to those Microsoft still doesn't exactly do those nicely. Not a huge fan of Microsoft but MacBooks are too expensive and I'm not smart enough to install Linux.
Don't buy it. In 4 months the display will be messed up from the opening and closing constantly, like my galaxy flip4 who they then tried to charge me $400 to fix a phone I never dropped and had only purchased 4 months ago, oh and their insurance wouldn't cover it. I let the phone go to default, fuck them. Never again.
The bezels are fine imo. They allow the phone to be thinner because the hinge mechanism can be in the bezel rather than behind the screen. Also they allow you to grip the damn thing without touching the screen and activating something by mistake if you're for example showing something to someone else. I like this size of bezels. But any bigger and they would be jarring
We see the price tag on apple 1000 bucks wow that’s a lot vs we see the price tag on google pixel 5 fold 1800 that much for a phone why we hate on apple for a lower price tag
To be fair this is still a very niche market so manufacturers will charge a premium. When Apple's first foldable comes out so I'm sure it'll cost more than this
.. and knowing Googles track record, probably the last. Because nobody trying to spend $2000 for a phone with the slowest chip (tensor) in the industry that overheats, has subpar battery life, has thick bezels and can’t unfold flat. They always try to go cheap on hardware and pay the price for it later.
Hey phonebuff, since Razr and Samsung Z Flip have released their very new flip phone, would you make a video about those two from drop test to multitask test?
Razr does it best. Samsungs cameras run off of air and don't work properly without. Their software is a lie. My girls got the new z flip and I'm actually jealous as fuck.
Google Pixel Fold not unfolding completely is quite similar to Apple placing their laptops at 76° angle in their stores. That's the first thing that came in to my mind.
They need to release one of these with two glass pane panels like the windows duo 2. No one wants a plastic screen phone that is easily damaged or totally breaks after 3 months.
It's wonderful what pixel was doing with the earlier pixel 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, with the dumb I don't care sort of designs. Did they think they wouldn't be able to do well in the smartphone market and just produced simple devices with not much hope about people liking them. I mean, it was with the pixel 6 they finally started giving some serious work in designs. It's like they're doing well in the market unexpectedly, without any vision of being one of the top 5 smartphones these days.
Imagine having phones that can combine screen... Like if you have two of that phone you can combine the screens and get a bigger screen experience, watch movies with bigger screen
i bought one and returned it after using it for a week. its absurdly wide when folded. im still happy using my iphone xr and s20 ultra. tensor is just bad when it literally overheats all the time
I wish I had a fold 5, so much better then a normal phone and specially with Samsungs multi tasking features on all devices, you literally run out of space on screen that’s how many things you can do at the same time on Samsungs
I don’t need this phone by any means, but I definitely want it! IMO it’s the best foldable out there. I really don’t like the aspect ratio of the Galaxy Z-Fold
I love that form factor, it's so compact when folded shut. But I'm not paying high end laptop prices for a foldable phone. I'll stick with my iPhone mini until these early adopter prices come waaaay down.
