when you first clicked on the shortcut I saw that it did not open. do you know if it would show up as running in the task manager, but still not display the window ?

Delete *Chrome.dll* In chrome directory

every time I type in my object name and click change well add in my case it keeps saying the name is not valid because it contains more than one slash or backslash I deleted those and it still didnt work and I've even copied and pasted it from the name on the advanced dercurity setting and it still won't work how would i fix this ?

i have a completely different problem .Whenever I try to open any apps of my computer every apps get o pened as google chrome and the programme finallly gets failed.can you please fix this?

I followed the steps perfectly, and I clicked on Google Chrome, and it keeps saying "No." It still refuses to open up.

Followed every step in the video, made Firefox my default browser, disabled Chrome to auto start with pc, and restarted my system. Yup, this process actually works! Thanks :)

Still won't work I have already tried many methods but won't work :( I don't know if it has to do with the windows 10 update, because since I updated to windows 10 I Google Chrome won't load, not even to settings.

I am trying to follow your work around but my "Owner" is in a different location, it's in a tab all its own. and the effective permissions tab displays very differently too. Im running Windows 7. So I have no idea what I am doing from "owner" onwards with my machine...

Thank you! When I opened the Chrome folder, there was a Chrome icon named "New Chrome'. I clicked on that and it worked.

if you try all this shit and you still can't open google chrome then uninstall google chrome then reinstall google chrome. if that doesn't work throw old computer in dumpster and buy a new computer.

Didn't work for me. Running Windows 7 and latest Chrome. Something went wacky when I started up my computer in a Starbucks. I saw some guys running code on another laptop but I'm not a hacker or programmer, so I don't know what's what with all that. Could someone have created a virus that can jump on computers just starting up before they even login to a public wifi? Why is this happening? How can I fix it when the instructions in this video didn't fix it?

I hope you can help! Home PC: Firefox became unresponsive. I downloaded Firefox. I deleted Firefox. I executed the downloaded file. Firefox loaded.. icons show on desktop and taskbar and in programs. I had clicked "Open Firefox After Installation" I waited... it didn't open. I clicked Firefox icon. It didn't open. I ran as administrator. It didn't open. I went to Mozilla web site...followed instructions carefully. Completely deleted Firefox and related folders .. 32 and 64 bit. I have tried 32 bit and 64 bit (I run a 64 bit PC with Windows 7) with no success ... at least 10-12 times. I get the blue spinning circle for a couple of seconds ...then nothing. Task manager shows NO Firefox activity. 2-3 times I get really frustrated and click the icon about 15 times .. Firefox opens (!) ..BUT does nothing. can't get to any website.. Clicking the Help - About gets a spinning blue circle that goes on forever.. Chrome works flawlessly. I have disabled anti-virus ..I have turned off firewall .. Office PC: WIN7 I run Firefox Quantum 64 bit (beta channel) with no issues .. I have compared settings .. I can't see anything different. All RU-vid solutions have failed to resolve my issue. ..and Mozilla forum solutions do not work either.
