sad thing is that even after having support on the line and going through their process to try and restore the phone it still failed to come back from being bricked...they offered to fix it by either replacing it with another Pixel 6 pro..at the cost of a new device (not its current value, but at msrp from launch) or take it to a repair partner to get it serviced for a minimum 50% of the devices cost...imagine being told that you'll need to pay to fix their absolutely critical fuck up..thankfully Tmobile pulled some strings to get me a replacement outside of warranty and protection plan for next to nothing out of pocket. nice but doesnt excuse google incompetency in this situation that they still havent resolved..

8:10 can you elaborate on how "wiping cache in fastboot mode has saved me so many times"? i'd really like to know because i have never done that before, i've ony been in fastboot menu to flash custom boot images to root phones, i might even afraid to select that "wipe dat/factory reset" option

When I used to flash ROMs and I couldn't boot into the operating system, clearing cache and data would clean the system image and allow me to install another ROM.

I also have a problem. I managed to get into Recovery, then tried flashing through ADB, but encountered an error. Fastboot won't allow flashing because the bootloader is locked. I don't know what to do. The phone is new, I updated to the latest firmware and decided to reset all data for stability. But it resulted in a software error, as it has for many other people.
