this code wil work even in AVD also just need to instal google play services from sdk manager,its working well for me..cheers

02:47 you can update login to your Google account in your AVD and then update Google Play Services, only if the image installed in your virtual device have playstore

for those wo cant load the maps (u can see only a google logo) : 1/ go to the AVD manager (tools --> android -->AVD Manager) 2/ Create Virtuel Device 3/choose Galaxy Nexus + chek Show downloable system images 4/ download the 86_64 windows version Android 5.1 (or less) (it must be with Google APIs) and it's work i think that the problem in Android 6.0 AVD version

for those who stuck with blank view 1.Login google developer console 2.Select Library option from left side panel. 3.Now you can see all API list and go to Google Maps APIs and select Google Maps Android API . 4.Now you can see option to enable/disable API. Enable it.

Can you assist me on one thing. I am trying to animate map in my Map fragment. I want to rotate map in tilt view (45Degree) to give user a search experience. I change the Bearing by 120Degree (3 times in an order, on each camera animation finish) so Map rotates and complete 360Degree cycle. But there is an easing effect in each camera rotate start and ending point. How can I control that easing effect in animation, in order to make the animation linear (which will remove the jerks in animation, when camera is rotating around a center point). Please suggest.

Hello I just get this problem! Error:Execution failed for task ':app:processDebugGoogleServices'. > Please fix the version conflict either by updating the version of the google-services plugin (information about the latest version is available at bintray.com/android/android-tools/com.google.gms.google-services/) or updating the version of com.google.android.gms to 9.8.0. any solution?
