After making an initial album for the RU-vid library (that Google commissioned) they came back and asked for more! What a treat. The music has been in the RU-vid audio library for some time now but the music never had a home and upload here on the channel so I'm sharing the music with their own videos and figured that might be strange ... you're likely expecting gear demos here, so here's a quick video to show the album, what you might have missed and explain what's going on.

Would love to see an in depth end to end production video. I know it’s probably a lot to ask. You make such lovely snippets when testing gear, but the production on top to make these tracks sounds great. Especially mixing modular with other elements. Lovely stuff by the way!

Thank you, I appreciate that. I've thought about breaking down some of the compositional things, productions bits etc before. It's mainly a time issue. Showing something end to end is a good idea though, I'll definitely give that some thought for the future.

@@DivKidcheers! yeah, I can imagine it'd be a nightmare to actually make a video of this kind of thing and it's a lot to give. I bet there are very few people who can master with modular in the mix nicely. Maybe a patreon extra

@@silly_manModular is just an instrument, if you listen to the snippets you can hear he made normal sounds with his modular stuff nothing extreme. Well done 👍

Icelandic Arpgeggios is beautiful. Do you get royalties everytime your music is used on youtube or do they pay you a set fee?

There's no royalty as it's a royalty free library of music for use on the RU-vid platform itself. It was a one off fee per track.

@@DivKid haha, I wouldn't call them 'bad' per se, but rather...wondrously mainstream. Which is fine, it's a solid fit for the commission, so not a criticism at all so much as a snarky acknowledgement of what we end up doing for the day job stuff. Musically, it's all ace, I've got nothing but the highest regards for your patching work, and I wouldn't have even begun the euro journey without you and Mr Mylar, so carry on, sir, and Bravo.

I think that's totally fair. It's definitely a library album, random compilation of ideas with the mindset of these things sitting underneath videos on the platform. Thank you :)
