I have used this brand since my Nexus 6P and IMO they are one of the best. No broken phone yet. The screen protector scratches way too easily so i use them as long as possible then cut it out and throw it away. This is my first one with a kick stand and i found a lot of uses for it however it didn't survive the first month. The charging port plug was one of the reasons that i first chose this case and the second biggest reason i keep coming back to them. The first is no broken phones! Even this silly curved edge screen Pixel 7 pro has survived almost a year in one of them now. And they are available in a variety of bright colors that always helps when searching for your lost phone.
Have you tried any glass screen protector with this case? Did it worked? Also, if the screen protector can be popped off, you should do a drop test with it off (just the case itself) to see how much extra protection the screen protector is offering.
I will say from experience that the Unicorn Beetle wouldn't fit with a screen protector. However I did find a case from Encased (Can't remember what the model is, but it's the super rugged one similar to Unicorn Beetle) that is quite friendly with screen protectors. I'm very impressed with it. Definitely prefer it over the Unicorn Beetle case.
@@JustAFatGuyInTX Hi there! After just receiving my iPhone 14 PRO (yay!) I am looking for a good, rugged case. I need it because I am clumsy, pffff. I saw your comment and went to google the Encased case. You are right when it does look way more bulky and buff then this Beetle Pro. Thank you for guiding me to a possible GOOD case for a clumsy person like myself. Also; I’d love to try and fit a tempered glass underneath the inbuilt protector… for obvious reasons! 👌
I do like Unicorn Beetle's cases but the one for the 7 Pro is a bit disappointing to me. The back kickstand was incredibly loose for me and the reviews I'm seeing say this is a common thing. (Or it just fell off outright) One case I did like is from Encased, both rugged and is actually friendly with screen protectors. That and it has the largest front raised edges on any case I've seen for the 7 Pro. Only downside is the back feels a bit thin compared to others like Otterbox or Unicorn Beetle. That and the pop out sideways stand it has is a bit difficult to pull out without fingernails.
This phone screen absolutely sucks. It's unbelievably bad. Ive replaced the screen 3 times in a year and just broke it again. 2 times it was just in my pocket with my lighter. The phone is otherwise awesome
This is a way better review than I ever expected to find about this case. Thanks so much. As an aside, my old phone got run over by a bus, I wonder how cases like these would fare in that situation. (I hope never to find out with my new phone and this new case.)
That has got to be the biggest and one of the most ugliest Pixel 7 Pro cases I have seen to this date, I trust my Google Pixel 7 Pro to the professionals over @ Dbrand with there Grip Case, along with the glass screen protector I recently installed from Whitestonedome.
@@speedster784 Ya, I guess that is true, when it comes to working in places like construction sites, rough or dirty terrain etc., But even some of the thinner cases such as the Dbrand a pretty tough, ever since I got the Pixel 7 Pro I've probably dropped it on a hard concrete floor at least a few times, and it did protect the screen and cameras from breaking/scratches but I guess when it comes to a more direct impact, the Supcase would be more ideally for the situation.
@@ianlewis4926 I'm a person that ONLY cares about function, not form. The whole point of me buying a case is to make it indestructible since these days your digital data is more important than ever before, the worst case scenario is you breaking your phone and now stuck because you forgot to make a backup of all your shit. And in any case (no pun intended), this case looks cooler to me than the dbrand case, thus showing that aesthetics are subjective in the first place. But since I'm a function over form person I would prefer to make the phones plastic instead of glass or metal if I was the head designer at Google or other phone companies.... Plastic is way better because it's lighter and more durable. The only thing I'm worrying about is if the screen protector looks like it might lower the quality of the display maybe, don't have it yet, worst case scenario I can just take it off and put a different one on.
When one has a $1000+ phone I will use nothing less than a tank case, looks be damned, and this is one of the best armoured truck style cases available. In fact, I think its superior to any other heavy duty case and cost much less.
