Pro tip: Before you use the UV light, the screen protector can still be moved. Take a second and line up the hole punch so that's its centered to your liking and then use the UV light to cure the adhesive and secure it all in place. My hole punch is slightly off center and when the face id light is on around the camera, it's noticeable and looks off.
I've watched and heard about it so many times. Without exception, everyone in the Android forum recommended this glass. All RU-vidrs agree, bring a new video every year, swear by it and I thought it can't be. Everyone agrees, nobody says anything against it and when it comes to curved Displays, then Whitestone. So I bought it, although I had already gone through everything on curved glass and none of them, regardless of whether they were 10 or 40€, served their purpose. But Whitestone does his job damn well. Sticks perfectly, feels perfect, fingerprint works. I am just so excited about the product and would invariably recommend this one for Curved Displays👍❤️
I watched your video and I managed to install it on the first attempt . I prepared everything, before starting and i had a desk lamp so i can spot any dust particles. There was no glue on the phone's frame and nothing in the camera cutout. I had a bit of glue overhang around the edges of the glass protector, but it rubbed off. It works perfectly fine with Mous case. I bought it from Amazon UK for £35, usually this brand would sell for £50, I'm glad it is cheaper now. Piece of advice (from previous experience),if you noticed any bubbles or dust or any imperfections after the glass was installed and you aren't happy,do not remove the glass before cured it with uv light, otherwise it is a nightmare to clean the phone. UV light will harden the glue and it can easily rub off
Ok. So I've been using this screen protector for 5 days now so here's a little review. For some reason this screen protector feels even better than the bare screen. It's so smooth and your finger literally glides across it. It's actually very surprising. Also, there were two different occasions where I was showing someone my new phone and they told me I should get a screen protector for it not knowing it already had one installed. The fit is that good and it doesn't look like a thick piece of glass on top of the screen like some other screen protectors look. You only notice it if you look by the camera. The one thing I don't really like about the protector is that I wish the sides extended slightly more. They barely just make it over the sides of the display to imo makes the screen seem less curved. However. I guess it needs to be that way to be case friendly but I just wish the protector was slightly wider. My second critique is about the little camera bar protector. No matter how careful you are, there will be bubbles. However, they disappear on their own over time. You cant even tell it's on there now.
I get what you mean. I'll tell you why with my feedback & tell me if you concur. The reason the tempered glass feels better than the actual screen is cuz the screen protector is liquid tempered glass (when dried). Even though the Pixel 7 Pro screen is gorilla glass from the factory, it doesn't really feel like glass.....it feels & sounds like plastic. I had to do research on it to make sure the Pixel 7 Pro screen was actually glass cuz as we all know, it just doesn't feel like it. But it is! The reason it doesn't feel like glass is cuz the screen on the Pixel 7 Pro is edge bonded (bonded/glued to the phone on the edges as to make new screen installation easier when the techs are working on replacing the screen) I had a Pixel 3 XL prior to this & the screen actually did feel like glass & that's cuz that phone (and most phones) is middle bonded which means it's bonded/glued at the middle of the phone. By middle bonding it, it gives the phone that more solid sounding reaction when tapping the screen as that's where most taps on a phone take place. With the edge mounted glass on the Pixel 7 Pro it gives it that hollow plasticky sound when tapping the screen. I personally don't like the feel of this new age gorilla glass on the 7 Pro but Google opted to go this route for easier uninstalling/reinstalling of a new screen if it's broken & needs replaced. Plus, it actually is more durable than say previous screens (ie: Pixel 3 XL) & will take more of a beating. It just doesn't feel solid or durable. By putting on this Whitestone tempered glass protector, a user gets that solid glass feel back. The iPhone 13 is like this too if you know of someone who has that phone....go ahead & touch their screen & it'll feel/sound just like the Pixel 7 Pro. Make sense?
Fantastic video. Someone recommended the Dome protector to me but I thought it was way too complex to put on. Then googled youtube and found your video. No problems at all. Went on easy and a great finish. Thanks
The Amazon reviews made me extremely nervous about the installation of this protector, but the universal positivity on Android forums made me pull the trigger. Thanks to this video, the install was easy and flawless. Thank you so much!
Thank you Josh. 1 year ago I followed your guide to apply this glass to Google Pixel 7 Pro and today I successfully applied dome glass to Google Pixel 8 Pro via same tutorial. I followed this one because in the video for 8 pro you use a bit different type of glass. Thanks again.
Thanks, worked rly well. Also prior scratches are gone with this uv glue technique, great. I shouldve read the comments though to center punchhole before UV
I just followed this video and it worked great! I messed up the first time, but that was my own fault. The one thing I noticed you didn't mention was the little pads on either side that stop the glue from dripping. It didn't cause me any problems, but I had a little extra cleanup to do. Thanks for the great tutorial!
Patience is the key to this one. Perfect fit if you follow instructions. Don’t forget to install the white foam bits on the side of the frame which this video misses out (but shows them already installed). The camera cut out is more fiddly to install than the screen protector though 😂

Followed your video for installation to my Pixel7 and it came out perfect on a first go. Also no issues with fingerprint detection after 2 days. Thank you!
This screen protector works so well that the extra step of pushing down on the finger print scanner isn’t even necessary, I didn’t even have to redo the fingerprints either. Thanks so much for this video. The process did seem a little intimidating at first only because it would be an expensive mistake but this video was spot on. Well worth the watch.
Mind blown that screen protectors have come so far.. this was wild to watch. I may even consider one for my new Pixel 7, I don't think my Spigen case I got has any screen protection, so it would be a perfect combo.
I owe you a massive thank you brother! I've never installed a screen protector before so was very nervous about doing this on my Pixel 7 Pro. Followed you step by step and have had a near flawless installation 👊
I just installed this screen protector on my Pixel 7 Pro and it's amazing. It's virtually invisible on the phone and it doesn't impede the sensitivity of the screen. It also doesn't seem to conflict with my case, either. If the Whitestone Dome Glass protector lasts, doesn't crack or scratch easily, it will be worth the money and effort.
Great video. I had installed one of these on my old S10+ with much success, so when I got a new Pixel 7 Pro I wanted to go with the same screen protector. As somebody else mentioned, I didnt use the white pads that went on each side, but it didnt seem to matter. Very happy with the install. Thank you!
Thanks, I had watched a few other videos but I still had questions. Once I watched yours, all of my questions were answered. I do have one more though; the camera films, what goes with them? Is it necessary?
I found mine to be an utter hassle. That said, every review shows how badly the metal scratches so yeah, I would for sure put it on. It doesn't cover the lenses.
Recently applied my fourth one of these using this video as reference! Definitely make sure you have a level and solid surface. I've had good luck with kitchen counter. I don't know if pushing on the fingerprint sensor does anything, but I've done it each time and i've never had a problem with fingerprint sensor.
Thanks for the video! I got mine installed perfectly! Although, my surface was not flat enough, so I had to hold it vertically to get the glue to seep down all the way to bottom! Love this thing tho, its like nothing is even there.
This was absolutely horrible for me... The first time I messed it up myself by managing to forget to add the rounded plastic part you added at 03:45. This caused a bubble to appear in the middle of the glue after dropping the glass on it, which apparently means you're instantly and definitively screwed, first 20 bucks down the drain. Burned through 6 alcohol wipes trying to get all of the adhesive goo off the phone - seemed impossible at first because it kept leaving ugly smears behind on the brand new 900 dollar phone - scary experience. Went OK the second time and was actually 100% satisfied/happy with it. But one day later, with daylight I noticed some kind of white dust-like stuff on the top edge of the protector, I think it was stuck there due to some adhesive remnants. When trying to scrape it off with a fingernail, apparently the protector got lifted up a little bit and once again ugly bubbles/wrinkles were visible underneath the protector. Second protector ruined less than a day later, gone are the 40 bucks. Because apparently, with this expensive and overly complicated model, you actually can't rub bubbles out the way you can even with the cheapest AliExpress screen protectors. Extremely tedious, frustrating and ultimately fruitless experience and all for nothing + 40 bucks down the drain. The edges aren't even rounded that much, why does this have to be so complicated instead of coming with pre-attached adhesive like any other screen protector? Man I wish there was a solid alternative for the Pixel 7 Pro. As someone mentioned, these screen protectors sure did come a long way, but I damn well hope they will go a lot further if this is the current way of installing them. Hate this freaking product. Thanks for this video though, it was the only well-made thing about it.
New subscriber! Always wanted to install one of these so thanks for the tutorial. My go to is the Spigen tempered glass with the install system. My son's 14 Pro Max has the matte no glare DBrand but not a fan of that Company at all. Think my next Android purchase which may possibly be an S22 Ultra (I buy used mint year or two old phones, Samsung's get super cheap).
great tutorial,(minus the missing white pads), but it was eventually mentioned...lol...just wanted to ask would this screen protector be compatible with the spigen ultra hybrid case which i have purchased already as the screen protector which came with the phone is being pushed off by this case...if anyone can tell me that would be awesome....subbed....P.S. which offers more protection....this or rhinoshield...maybe a video incoming...?
i just bought a pack of 2 cheap ones from amazon, installed them and realised the corners of the phone and the right side near the edge wasnt working on the screen. Edges of the screen protector were peeling up because of the curved glass, didnt fit with my case either made a cracking noise every time i pressed the volume button. I guess its hard to make screen protectors for curved glass? has anyone got reccomendations?
Guess my table wasn't as level as I had thought it was. Popped the phone out of the guide and had some liquid on the right side of the phone. Love your videos on these protectors though. I believe I used your video when I had a Samsung Note 10 as well. Thanks so much.
I've had this for a while now and they really are the best of the best, but overtime you start to notice the screen peels up slightly and creates air pockets around the corners, kinda frustrating!
For me the adhesive did not go all the way to the bottom, so I tried again and with a new bottle of adhesive since they give you 3 and it did the same thing. What I did was apply pressure with my fingers for about 60 seconds to the glass screen protector at the bottom to squeeze out the air. The bubbles would then slowly start to reform, so I applied the pressure with 1 finger to keep it from coming back while hitting it with the UV, which cured to adhesive to the screen (did it twice on 15 second mode with my finger coming form different angles each time). The bubble did not come back after this!
I bought a "Coliary Premium" 9H tempered 3D glass screen protector for my Pixel 7 Pro and it doesn't come with all the bs like this one! Just clean the screen, peal the backing off the new glass and lay it on the existing screen. The rounded edges on screen allow the new glass to fall in place perfectly! I'm not sure what the dome glass cost, but this almost identical glass was $13.00. It has a 10% reflection and is definitely tough as nails!!!!
Thank you so much. Protector when on perfect. I was rewinding the vid alot though. You went it look way easier than it actually was 😂. But thanks. . I also see why you didn't bother with the back part for the camera 😂 that was some BS to put on and didn't even look perfect even though I was very careful.
What cases are compatible to use with this dome glass? I have Spigen Liquid Air and ToughArmor case, Ringke clear/matte case and Speck Impacthero. Are those compatible? Thank you!
One thing I would add. When putting on the screen protector you don't put it all the way onto the phone. Let the top rest on the black thing while the glue spreads. It is difficult to see in this video so I had to do it a second time.
Was curious if anyone know if this screen protector would be compatible with the Urban Armour Gear (UAG) Scout Series case for the Pixel 7 Pro? I initially had a Zeelot Tempered glass protector on my phone and after installing the phone case, the case ate into the edges and cause permanent bubble. Would anyone have experience with the same case but managed to find a tempered glass protector that is compatible and would not have this problem?
I love these screen protectors, only problem is I couldn't wait until they shipped. Got my phone a week ago still no word on when these were shipping, so I had to buy a zagg.
@@gkelley77 yes because I'm going to wait to buy a phone for a screen protector company to come out with their product. Should have it ready when the phone comes out.
One thing not mentioned: we need to put the protector ON TOP of the black thing first. The perspective of the video doesn't allow to see. I put it under and fucked it up.
@@user-wl7dt1uw2e Do it in the bathroom. Turn the shower on, set it to hot. And let the room get a bit foggy. Then then it off then start to apply the screen protector. That's what I did. Went on perfect .
The pixel 7 pro gives me LG V30 vibes. And that makes me want it so bad!!!! I own the S22 Ultra so it would be a downgrade but I'd Google would give me 800 or more trade in for it then I'll jump ship
I did everything you did here and the screen protector is slightly off to the right. How is that even humanly possible if the screen protector sits perfectly in between the grey mounting device. This makes no damn sense. Its so annoying because I can see its off and because of that I can see a white line on the side of my phone from the screen protector being over the edge of the actual screen. Not to mention the fact that the stupid sticker to cover the speaker at the top broke and I had to use the second one so now I can't even use the second screen protector. I am so damn pissed off.
This is beyond stupid for something that is designed to take a hit. I can install a $5 glass screen protector in 20 seconds and it has ZERO risk of hurting my $900 device. What a joke.
