Hey Floss, I want to thank you. I'm totally blind, and I just want to thank you because in all your phone and tablet videos, you mention that the accessibility settings are there. You're the only reviewer that I've seen do that, so I wanted to thank you. Most people that don't use it don't know that those setting's exist, and even though you don't go in to detail of every single setting in accessibility, you at least mention that they're there so people at least know that they exist and if they want to they can explore them further. Thank you for everything you do, and I want you to know that I don't even consider buying a product until I listen to your review.

Floss I needed first of all I want to say I'm a huge fan I watch every one of your videos I had a few questions for you if you could possibly help me I'm getting a new phone today and I needed to ask you if you questions about which one I should get
Floss, THANK YOU for saying "Google overlay/skin" so many, even seasoned creators call the Pixel OS "stock Android experience" when there are some significant differences between stock/AOSP and the Google experience. Thanks again big man! 👍
Because people already have smart speakers and all the smart home devices with screens sold poorly. And to make things worse, the dock doesn't do anything on its own which is a huge shame.
Lenovo tried a few iterations in some of their 8-10 inch tablets and some were decent, just never took off, so they removed the docks from their 2022 lineup onwards...
$450, as the hardware in the dock is pretty much identical to that of the $50 Nest speaker. Must also not forget the far higher pricing outside of the USA. Also, the dock can't be used as a standalone speaker without the tablet, limiting it's value.
I'm enjoying it! What people have to understand is Google is kind of expanding their ecosystem. Thats where this tablet shines, its not ment to be the highest performing (benchmark) but it does everything well and its perfect for the google ecosystem. Its like picking up a larger version of my pixel 7 pro, I can get all alerts, text msg, etc and the home automation is 👌. I even linked my pixel buds to it seamlessly. The sofware is also👌 , google definitely got it right!
Typically Google, but this tablet is full of ideas that haven't been thought through to the end. Why I can't control and use the dock as an independent speaker is her secret once again. Just like the display: 60 HZ - Seriously, Google? Anyway, I wonder why I should pay almost 700 bucks (Europe) for a Pixel tablet if I can get a Galaxy Tab S8+ for it. With 120 HZ OLED screen and the SPen. Above all, I see an ecosystem here without hands and feet - typically Google and with a lot of concessions.
(I’m early in the vid, maybe u mentioned already). I think a reason to get this over other android tabs, besides the speaker dock, is the speech recognition/GA voice typing/editing with the tensor G2 on a big screen. Prob awesome.
Just that Apple will do better. First of all, because the IPad has better speakers than Google built into it. And then you will certainly be able to control the dock from a distance, not only when the tablet is lying on it. I just don't understand why Google always delivers half-baked products. This runs like a red thread through all their devices. Here in Europe, the Pixel Tablet is far too expensive anyway. For a hundred bucks more I can get a Galaxy Tab S8+ with 120HZ OLED and SPen. Why should I put myself through Google's experiments? If only because the One UI is a hundred times more mature and offers more features.
@@morm2173and look which company is multi billion dollar company even almost hit a trillion. Samsung has hundreds of products and still can’t even compete with $
My guy. Where has RU-vid been hiding you. I've never seen your channel before and you have over 1mil subs. When white shoes showed up and had his own song I threw a like. When that sound check dropped I had to pause my TV to sub. By then end I was thinking this my new favorite review channel.
Google/android products in floss hands the climax of RU-vid tech for me. It's nothing better, it's '12 Galaxy nexus vibes lol. I think I HAVE to buy this for the kitchen. Good looking on the video bro , the people love you!
Nice, This device will make a lot of normal users happy. I believe that's who the Pixel team was targeting in the first place. I'm about to buy my mother and nephew one.
Looks like a decent mid range tablet Floss but it starts at $899 AUD here in Australia. You can buy a Samsung Tab 8 for less than that, Google likes shafting Australia
Here in Europe it`s about 679 Euro. You can get the Galaxy Tab S8+ f0r 800. Better Display, better chip, SPen. I don`t understand this Pixel tablet. Dead on arrival.
Nice review as always. I ordered the hazel yesterday from BB yesterday and waiting for it. All they had was the light color in stock which looks like garbage. The only tech I don't have is a tablet, I don't need one but I love toys. I didn't want to spend a fortune for a tablet because its just a toy for me and this one fits the sweet spot perfectly. Always look forward to your reviews.
It would be cool to see someone come out with a third party dock that has Bluetooth as well where you can use it when it’s not docked up. Also even better speakers/different design. Idk if that’s possible but it would be dope.
Floss, have you heard much about the one plus nord n30 and the htc u23 pro? The one plus nord n30 and the htc u23 pro both have a headphone jack, micro sd card slot and dual sim slots. The htc u23 pro has better specs with 15 watt wireless charging, 5 watt reverse wireless charge and reverse wired charging, ip 67 water and dust resistant rating. The htc u23 pro supports 30 watts fast charging but the adapter is not included in the box but the one plus nord n30 supports 50 watts fast wired charging and the adapter with the charger is included in the box. These 2 mid range phones have features that are missing on flagship phones and even brought back features on there newer mid range phones that were removed on there older mid range phones. The one plus nord n30 uses ips but the htc u23 pro used oled. The one plus nord n30 comes with 128gb but the htc u23 pro comes with 256gb. It seems like the htc u23 pro is a better phone overall than the one plus nord n30. I miss htc and there phones. I would buy a htc one max with modern updated specs, larger battery capacity, front facing speakers and a headphone jack. I would even buy an updated sony xperia z ultra with update specs, larger battery capacity and front facing speakers. The htc one max and sony xperia z ultra are my 2 favorite phablets. I still have my htc one max but the gold pins for the sim card reader broke when I was trying to take out the sim card since the sim card got stuck in the htc one max. I was even using a sim card adapter on the htc one max.
You should try turning on "Force activities to be resizable". Allows all apps to have split screen and multi window options. Split screen instagram works great on my OnePlus Pad and old Huawei Media Pad 6. One of the first settings I change on a new android device.
@@Intergalactic2701 it's in developer options. You have to unlock it by tapping the buildprop/version number in "About Phone". May be placed differently depending on your device.
Still waiting on that follow back on Google+ Floss...😅 Mine arrived yesterday, Hazel as well, it's a good tablet, that does the hub thing when no one is using it, which normally for a tablet is a lot. I hoping to find more uses for it. Would be a sweet idea if they made a wall mount so you could especially use it like a security home hub. White Shoes! ❤❤
I saw the offer when it came out. I don't need it, but tempting. I plan to get an iPad Mini for my music creation stuff, but this is cool, especially since I have my Pixel 7 Pro, though this one is one month old. My original went defective after 6 months. Great features, UI and performance, and especially the dock with nice bass response. White Shoes is a trooper, always showing up fashionably late, even in her days off. Such a QT.
Right away starting the video Floss says "there's no stylus support" this is incorrect. It doesn't come with a stylus, but it does support them, and you can even magnetically attach them to the back.
@@FlossyCarter no one is gonna read the description and make that connection, but everyone watching the video is going to think you can't use a stylus because you say it in like the first minute, but it's cool.
Literally just bought a surface pro 9 on sale yesterday for $899 to use mainly as a tablet…. I’d totally return it and buy this pixel tablet IF it had a 120hz refresh rate. It’s probably still a great value, but not having 120hz is a dealbreaker for me
Can u comment on the speech recognition on the tablet? I know it tensor G2 but I wanted to know about using it for work with a bigger screen. I dictate many reports.
One of the reviews I watched was a person disappointed because the tablet doesn't behave as a google home when redocked. For those who already own an s7 or 8 ultra this is a tablet with a docking option which you get the same effect with your current tablet and Bluetooth speaker of choice. This is only worh it if Google makes it like a mobile version of a Google home.
Seriously, I'm not a fan of Apple, but I'd rather buy an iPad Air 4 + Google Home Mini, or especially, a Galaxy Tab S8 + Google Home Mini. Ps: because, unless I missed something, I don't see what the hub option of Google's tablet does more than the Standby mode of iPads or the Daily Board mode of Galaxy Tab 🤷🏽♂️ And as a reminder, Samsung already had a dock with hdmi and jack port at least 10 years ago.
