Google Pixel Watch 2 Review 

Paywalling features is enough reason for me to not get this watch.

@@roethlethank god others don’t do this. I mean except apple, who advertised it’s watch BIG as divewatch, only to put it behind a paywall subscription. Oh, and if you are a developer and want to get access to the new apis? Ca-ching! Oh, and Ticwatch obviously, where you get the sleep tracking if you pay a subscription. Oh, and Huawei with their music feature, which only can be used with an subscription. Doesn’t misunderstand me, it’s a shitty thing to do. But google isn’t the first to do so, by a long shot. Apple does it, and if they get trough others follow. It’s the same thing with the removed chargers when you buy a new phon3 today…

Because it’s common today, as the removed chargers with new phones. If apple does it and people accept it, other try the same 🙁

It's bigger than most Casio watches we used to have in the 90s. I'm a guy but admittedly with not big wrists. The PW2 looks fine to me. The size makes it more comfortable and even you don't notice you are wearing it even when sleeping. Having said that, they should offer a bigger version next year when PW3 releases.

Mine died very fast the first day when I was installing, updating, and touching it a lot. The following days have been great. 30h with a tracked 2h hike with GPS, Tilt to Wald and Hey Google on. Before that even longer than 30h

The data accuracy is also quite a bit better in the Pixel Watch 2. And the software is cleaner with less apps. TicWatch 5 Pro has much better battery life though.

I got 30h with a 2h hike, Hey Google on, Told to Wake on, AOD off, GPS on.

I don't have WhatsApp, Gmail, Google Fit or third party watch faces installed.

But I'm pretty sure you pay a lot of fees with Apple' ecosystem (iTunes, etc).

By "diving watch" do you mean their Ultra? If so can you tell me what subscription you're referring to? I can't find any reference on the Apple site. Also, although the iPhones no longer come with a charger, just the cable, the watches come with a mag charger in the box.

You don't own it so your opinion is junk. And that's actually not an opinion, it's a fact.

It wouldn't let me have the 6 months free since I'd already had a free 6 month trial with the OG Pixel Watch (that ended quite some time ago).

It worked for me, I got 6 months from OG pixel watch and pixel watch 2 as well.

​@@mobiletechreviewyes, we were allowed the 6 months free trial again after having the first watch. Maybe it's inconsistent🤔

So I've gone through the process, I can confirm it works but it is super confusing. All you have to do is select the monthly payment prompt (as if you are not getting the free 6 months) and after you progress to the next screen you will see that the payments don't start for 183 days. So it does work for everyone but I think it's super counter intuitive and confusing.
