Excellent, detailed review!! Question: How's the synchronicity between watch and phone? If you have an alarm set on your phone does it automatically go off on your watch? If you set Do Not Disturb or Bedtime Mode on your phone does it sync with your watch?
@@wearablewhisperer Well Pixel for one, but hearing that it is its first issue, maybe stay away till next one. Samsung is the other. I do have a Charge 5, so it should last till I find the one. :)
You can turn the watch around and flip its watch face to orient correctly. That way you can have the bezel button on the lower left where your thumb would touch it.
very well described. i am following you for any kind of smart watch or band review. great job. recommend me one best band and smart watch if possible. i am as of now using google pixel 7 pro mobile for your reference.
I was really happy to hear about the heart rate accuracy given that I am coming from a Versa 2 and the things I have heard about the Versa 4 and Sense 2. Do you plan to release your detailed Pixel review soon? I would love to hear more about the heart rate accuracy and how it is holding up. Great videos!
Thanks 😊 I have been very impressed with the Pixel Watch heart rate accuracy and it has held up over time for me. If you’re coming from a Fitbit, I think you’ll be much happier.
Great review, thanks! Just to verify, can we download music playlists from Spotify and store music on this watch? I would like to be able to go out for walks or runs without having to drag my phone with me, and listen to my downloaded music offline. If so, what is music storage capacity? I think GB were shown somewhere, but didn't know what that was applicable for (downloaded music, third party apps, etc). BTW, can we download other apps onto this watch as well? I am looking to buy my first fitness watch and I'm a newbie when it comes to all the details and the questions I should be asking!
Can you tell us how to delete an installed app? Also, how do I turn on and off the built in GPS sensor? Thanks, great videos, we appreciate your hard work.
Pixel Minimal Watch Face, yes. You can see the app for it here: play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.benoitletondor.pixelminimalwatchface&hl=en_US&gl=US
If you care about accurate heart rate during exercise, then pixel watch all the way. Otherwise I’d need more information to make a specific recommendation
removing and putting the band is annoying for literally the first day. After that it's pretty simple to do and I can do it with no issues whatsoever. Now far as the battery life, I use always on display all day long...have always used it on every watch, and just like every watch, AOD doesn't drain battery as much as people think. Tilt/raise to wake reduces battery a lot more since the screen wakes up fully and goes bright with just a flick of the wrist which you can do without meaning to. My only real problem with the watch is a bunch of the options in setting can only be accessed through the watch and aren't available on the phone's watch app, which is a little weird but whatever it's google's first watch so maybe they'll fix all that in the second version. I can say that I was a little worried since I always get the biggest watch a smart watch has to offer, and the pixel only comes in the one size which is 41mm. I can honestly say that I'm surprised that the size doesn't bother me, I thought the small size would be a hinderance, but nope...it seems to be working for me just fine. I can also say that my last watch was the apple watch series 7 and before that, the Galaxy watch 4 classic 46mm and the sound on the pixel watch seems to be much louder than those watches. The fact that it's constantly running your heart rate is a little annoying because you can't turn that off or edit it to only take the measurements after so long of time...and I can see the benefits of it constantly measuring but that's more than likely one of the biggest battery drains on the watch. Other than that, I'm actually pretty satisfied with the watch as much as I was satisfied with the apple watch... I honestly can say that in my opinion, it's better than the Galaxy watch.
If you use Samsung phone to set up the watch with, it is a samsung phone thing not a Pixel watch thing...lol. I have a Pixel phone and was set-up in under a minute even with the update. Consider getting a Pixel phone...it's got better camera and many other features android users will benefit by.
@@wearablewhisperer I thought you said it was a Samsung phone...my bad. Great review, I love mine, I don't sleep with it, I wake up and know how I slept. You get a sub from me!
