I am so happy to see you are still making videos. I started watching you a couple weeks ago but everything was from 4 years ago. I am a first year teacher for 2022-2023. I feel more comfortable after watching your videos. Thank you for working so hard to help others with ideas and freebies which I saw on your TPT store! I am excited to see all the other things I can use for my first year of teaching 💕

Great video! I switched from my paper agenda based system to a combination of Google tasks and Google Keep ( to keep track of discipline, etc...) it's been awesome. Our school already uses GSuite so it was nice to make it all in the same ecosystem. The digital checklist is not quite as satisfying as a paper and pen list, but it's hard to beat searchable and cross platform.

I fell in love with Google Keep after watching one of your videos and my keep list was so beautiful as I'd made headers for them. However, it wasn't really working for me as a to do list so I caved in after listen to one of your Teaching from the Top podcasts and tried Google Tasks again. I like Google Tasks but couldn't quite get on with it fully....I've added the app to Google chrome and being able to have it full screen is a game changer for me. Thank you so much! :)

Thank you!! How did you manage keeping your school power to do lists separate from your life power to do list? I find that to be very challenging.
@PocketfulofPrimary
@PocketfulofPrimary 2 года назад
Ahhh... great question Lindsey! I personally had two separate lists. In order to keep them organized, I used to store my power list for school in Google Keep (since most of the tasks were items from my recurring checklists anyway so I could easily reference those in Google Keep) and my power list for my personal life in Google Tasks. You could also just great a longer power list (2 items for school and 2 items for personal or 2 for one and 3 for the other) and use emojis to organize them... put a pencil next to school items and a heart next to personal items. Just a thought... honestly, there are SO many ways you could do it. You just have to find a system that works for you!
@JessieUpward95
@JessieUpward95 2 года назад
Hi Lindsey, I am a early years teacher and just starting using the Powerlist method. In the google tasks app I have a seperate section for work, and this is a master list of work related tasks. Then when I am planning for the next day to make my Powerlist I draw from both my personal master list of to do’s and my work list. I hope that helps you at all. ❤️

The subtasks can be created from browser only. The subtasks can't have separate reminders. If I want to mark one of your RU-vid videos to view again later and implements tips, I can't add it to Google Calendar. I have to add it to Google tasks. When I do this it doesn't give option as in which account and which list to save in. It picks the default account. These options are not available on mobile app. One doesn't only work from computer only. There's no search option for talks.

Thanks for the tutorial. Google TASKS seems similar to Google KEEP, except TASKS seems to be more straightforward and task-oriented, correct? I think I'm going to go with TASKS.

Hi Michelle, what is the difference of google tasks and Google keep?
@elisebrisson
@elisebrisson 2 года назад
You have completely changed my productivity in the past year, and the way I organize things. I've used Google Keep for to-dos, but now I've actually changed my organization over to Notion, because I'm a prep music teacher and it's been a good way for me to keep track of multiple lessons and assessments in one place. Now that you used Google Tasks, do you still used Keep?
