Beautiful. Favorite Phil memory: Easter Sunday 1985 at the Spectrum. Opened first set with "Why don't we do it in the Road" with Phil on vocals. RIP. Let Phil Sing!!!!
Disagree, it was brash and on-the-nose and the antithesis of Phil's entire philosophy of what bass guitar should be. Though, I'm sure Phil, being more gracious than I, would have loved it.
Beautiful tribute to Phil, thank you! I was lucky enough to be driving through San Francisco as you guys started playing “Cold Rain and Snow.” I drove around SF, a city that Phil loved so much, windows down and music soaring, seeing smiles from people I passed by. Then came “Brokedown Palace” as I was going over the Bay Bridge, by the waterside where he laid his head. Listening to sounds of the water while music rocked our souls. Fare you well Phil, we love you more than words can tell. May your lovelight continue to shine down on us. Forever Grateful.⚡️💗⚡️
Listen to the river sing sweet songs to rock my soul.. Thank you Rick, Peter, Trevor, Jeff, Cotter and the entire Goose crew..🙏 They are carrying the torch beautfully that the Grateful Dead lit over 50 years ago. First Dead show 1976, last Dead show just weeks before Jerry passed in '95. Over a hundred shows in between. There was nothing like a Grateful Dead show and never will be. Phil was one of a kind and he will be missed more than words can tell... Rest Easy Phil, Go in Peace..🙏❤🙏
I got goosebumps when i in heard the beginning of Cold Rain & Snow & then Brokedown Palace …I was, indescribably, full of sadness & joy & so thankful to hear 2 of my favorite Dead songs. Goose paid homage to Phil & did them justice w/ an amazing performance. Thank you
Interviewed Phil in 1990, just as Dead-mania was reaching a fever pitch. Gave me all the time in the world and could not have been nicer. Bobby was a dick, Jerry was shy and a bit guarded -- and Phil was one of the sweetest, most generous people I've ever met. Beautiful performance.
Was suppose to be here but wasn’t for unforeseen circumstances… “SUCH A LONG LONG TIME TO BE GONE AND A SHORT TIME TO BE THERE”. …. I can still remember the Spectrum 1995 unveiling of Unbroken Chain…. I thought we were all going to blow the roof off of the venue !!!! Most epic GD memory EVER***THANKS PHIL♥️🔥. NICE JOB U GUYS🎯
Aw man I remember these boys playing this at a friend's funeral, I remember thinking at the time there couldn't be a better way to memorialize someone. I'm sure Phil's smiling down on this one.
Thank you for playing this. I’ve been listening to third set of dozin at the nick, for the last week. Singing this in my car along with every song in that set. This song always brings a tear thinking of everyone I love. Thank you Phil for all the memories
Beautiful. Last time I saw Phil was last winter in Denver when Rick was playing with the Friends. Phil rocked it so hard. So glad I was able to catch that show and have those memories.
Great tribute..still in shock from the news yesterday..with all that's going on, it's time to stop and reflect on important things...like the loss of a amazing musician..see you on the other side, Phil...😢
