great show but they oversold the venue to the point it was counterproductive to be there. literally nowhere to move or see the stage if you got there after 6. please do better
I've been listening to and attending live shows for more than 50 years. This clip captures one of the best live music performances by any artist, any time. Amazing, and I am hoping Goose returns to the Pony Summer Stage for an encore 2024 appearance. PLEASE, GUYS!!
@@NewPraetorianBlues I did not, unfortunately. I had tickets lined up pre-sale, but had to bow out with my oldest son moving into college that weekend. But I did see them at the Mann with my boys (ages 17 and 20). It was their first concert (ever) and a show it was! Glad to see it now posted in its entirety. The guys are getting popular and it's all well deserved.
@@richardcatalinajr.369 That's fantastic, sounds like a great time. And I have to agree, they keep stepping up. We'll always miss Ben but Cotter has fully gelled into Goose now, and it's a sight to behold. Draconian Meter Maid by Cotter's old band, Swimmer, was covered for the first time in Set 1 at PNC, and they KILLED it. They also uploaded all of Set 2, which had such massive jams it ended up being only 3 songs, the first being a debut... If you haven't seen it yet, please check it out!!
Just because they are good musicians doesn't mean they can write songs. Some of their jams just go on for too long, without many changes. That's boring.
Have to comment again ,I went to 4 dead and company show that year and I'm a wicked deadhead, but this was the highlight of my year....I hope this becomes there cornell so when I'm an ol grandpa I can brag(I was there lol)
I was at the 4th show. Amazing show but 2 gripes. That bass drop thing needs to go. It’s lame af and was way over used. And next year maybe have fireworks on the actual 4th. Other than that the experience/show/crowd was stellar. Honk
Stylistically I understand the use of Autotune as a tool for your music...here it just sounds bad and unnecessary. Rick can sing circles around most other jam bands, including Phish. Why ruin it?
Never mind, answered my own question, yes he does: "But-surprisingly-he [Rick Mitarotonda] was more than willing to talk everything from music philosophy to the band’s upward trajectory to some surprising influences to his use of vocal effects like auto-tune, a controversial move for a jamband scene not accustomed to such shenanigans."
This was a solid night, too bad the next night was a total bust with a late start and no fireworks and the biggest highlight of the night was a grateful dead cover. Phish it is for a while i guess 🤡🎉
