Hi Brian, love your enthusiasm, I have the red and yellow version and it's a great heli. When the bright sun hits the canopy it just glows. I've been flying in +1 and +2 and found this heli to be super stable in every way. The power is up there, and flight times are strong. A well designed and well built 200 size heli. I'm also using the GooSky T8 transmitter that comes with the RTF. It works very well with this heli. The whole set up is worth the money!
These are the channels that bring new folks into the hobby. Fun presentation and a myriad of stuff. I just wanted to say thanks because your channel is one I always review before making purchases. Without fail, you have reviewed said item of interest. Wish I could have a collection like yours but hats off to you and teammate for sharing yours with us.
Hello again Mr Phillips. When using a heli, and the throttle curves, one you turn off throttle hold the heli will immediately spool up because on your curves, the very first value is 60%. Therefore the heli will spool up. One fix is ESC calibration. The other good idea is to make the very first value 0%, then jump up to 60% for the remaining first throttle curve.
I heard you say you had no clicks of trim. Just a friendly tip from a rc heli pilot, you never use trim on a flybarless heli! Instead you would mechanically adjust your swashplate to perfectly level when the servos are centered. Its actually common practice to turn off trim adjustment in your radio so you don't accidentally hit it by mistake. Love the videos Brian and camera crew! When I first started with planes I used your channel as a crutch and it helped me tons!
Thanks for the help! These are the things I kinda "know" but never remember in the heat of a flight, since I fly fixed wing primarily. It also doesn't help that these cheap Chinese helis we find ourselves playing with all the time DO trim like a plane, reinforcing an already bad habit - LOL
@@BrianPhillipsRC to be honest I just use a reg spektrum sat. Normally there's a small adapter if needed. I'll have my M2 Evo today for review so I'll see how it goes.
We tried to come up with a link, but couldn't with any of our existing affiliates. We also were going to recommend LemonRx, but same issue. Tell your people to hit us up so we can add their links on the video ;)
They are a lot cheaper now than $30. Just bought two one for my M1 and the other for my Goosky S1. Current price is $20. Highly recommend when using a Spectrum transmitter.
Just a snippet of this heli's description on Banggood 😂😂 brian u should get a kick out of this "the second layer of the fuselage is connected, and the fried chicken can be repaired when it is broken, so as to reduce the cost of helicopter bombers;"
WOW Megan and I just had to look it up - simply amazing ;) Why don't they just hire an English speaking person to proof their documents...I mean, think of the money they're spending to make the CNC aluminum parts?!??! It's gotta cost a fortune!!! ...well, at least it's good for a laugh!!!
Im Heli shopping er again but, I think I should probably take your advice and start with a plane? I pushed my last 450 heli too high, an updraft got ahold of it and umm left our atmosphere hahaha It was spotted on a roof 2 towns over on a roof in Boston.. LoL truth.. Of course I showed up with a ladder and grabbed it hahaha.. BTW I enjoy this channel.. Great work! Love the interaction with "camera crew". LoL Incidentally the "crew" always has an amazing, top notch manicure.. ;) So plane first? Thanks Brian.. Great channel...
Hallo Baby flyer, great review! You should be able to compare the OMPHobby V2 (Evo) with the Go- o-sky. Would be interesting what your preference is (..)
Have owned them both it's no contest. The S2 is much more stable and responsive. On a different level. Omp need to upgrade that FBL that's where Goosky are way ahead
No I might have already bound that Rx previously....or if I recall correctly, didn't I have to use another Rx to bind it? Sorry, it's been a bit since we did this.
Hey Brian did your serial receiver have a bind button on it , my 4 wire does but my 3 wire does not and it won't bind . I don't have a receiver I can plug it into to bind it to first and plug it into the heli after binding it to my nx8 ,? It didn't looked like you did anything but use your transmitter to bind it .
Okay, great quesiton - to be somewhat fair, the Goosky is quite a bit MORE expensive (especially if you have to add a Spektrum Serial Rx), BUT it's better. I love them both, and really love the simplicity of the BNF InFusion 180, and there's something about that size too - just perfect if you're going to fly INDOORS, since it's a bit smaller, but the Goosky is hand down - Better. I'd love to say it's not, but it's just amazing! Here's my issue - and same with 100% of the Chinese brands...when you crash, can you get parts? I can't say you won't, but also, they included a bunch with this heli!!!! BUT when push comes to shove, Horizon Hobby will have parts more often than not. Two cents. Thank you for catching that!! We really appreciate you bringing it to our attention. We missed a space in the link. :) This one should work... bit.ly/3T73eS3
Goood videoo! I have alsoo had a prooblem with throotle cut oon a oone oof my planes and strangely foound that when I have throotle cut oon when I plug in the battery the throotle dooes noot return too zeroo when throotle cut is turned ooff.
How did u get the heli in bi ding mode? I have same sat receiver and when I turn on it's not in bind mode. There is a bind button on side of the controller but didn't work either.
@@BrianPhillipsRC That's funny, yeah I saw that at ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NjU-JMTZlNc.html but my satellite doesn't go into bind mode just by powering on the heli and clicking bind on my dx18. I saw you do it though
Out of the box it's really to much for a beginner! So is there any way to tame it down, with the stock radio it comes with? And what would the setting be? Thank you
All you have to do is just change the mode back and it'll auto-level. We showed how to setup the modes on switch B if I recall. Is there a more robust "Panic" mode you're referring too?
38:02. It's funny, I hear your chargers in the background and have to ask myself if I turned all mine off lol 40:10.. Someday, yer gonna have to tell us how to get to that "Legacy Keyboard" you use there. The other one's SO annoying!!
1) LOL 2) You go to FUNCTION LIST > SYSTEM SETUP > PREFERENCES > (Then it says "Visual Preferences") > KEYBOARD - Legacy needs to be selected to use the "Old, but much better style keyboard"
@@BrianPhillipsRC SWEET!! Thanks! I'm thinking about one of these helis. Got myself the little S-1 and am SUPER impressed by how stable it is. Also have an NX-8 as well. Great for me as I'm sort of a newbie.. Even though I used to fly my Thunder Tiger Raptor 30 way back when. All this new tech makes it a lot easier!
Sorry, I remember making that mistake, and it was just my bad - I have a real hard time keeping the names of these heli's straight. There's no rhyme or reason for their names, in most cases.
How many other people just wanted it to spool up? Can't understand why you didn't take the time to remove the blades. I hope some young kid doesn't try this and it spools up on them. Great video but, be a little safer when teaching other people you are the example so, set the bar a little higher. Thanks again.
This heli is NICCEEEE. As for the Infusion 180 - it too is nice, but LOVE the BNF in DSMX out of box ;) This is the only thing missing on the S2 to make it a LOT better. She is rock solid!
