Thank you for reviewing. You were the only that could give me an insight and help me with my questions, before I bought the product. I LOVE that you recorded your screen as well. So it's super easy for me to understand and I feel like I can do it myself. Thanks a lot!
No problem! I try to cover all the main topics in my reviews, so that nothing is left out! I hope this information helps you out. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask me! Also, make sure to subscribe and share if you haven't already! Welcome to the Crew!
As I know, I'm pretty sure you can only use the YI IoT application. I do know that there is a desktop version that you can also use with this camera the YI made. I believe I had someone access my account and changed my birthdate to appear that I was too young to use twitter. I sent an official ID to prove that I'm well above the age of 18 and I have also sent a picture of my organizer's ID to show that they manage my twitter account. Please help me out as I have never violated any rules from Twitter and I've used this account for a long time.
Hi good information thank you Question what type of internet do you need to have in the house wifi for the house? or only the internet in the cell phone?
It would need to be the internet that your house has I believe. I'm not sure if it can just rely on the internet of your phone. Let me know if you have any questions! Also, make sure to subscribe and share if you haven't already! Welcome to the Crew!
Yes you can! There is a micro SD card slot that allows you to save footage locally, without having to use a cloud service. Let me know if you have any questions! Also, make sure to subscribe and share if you haven't already! Welcome to the Crew!
Hello Christine. My apologies for the late response. I think from this video you should be able to view the camera installation from 5:55 to 8:55. I hope this information helps you out. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask me! Also, make sure to subscribe and share if you haven't already! Welcome to the Crew!
Hello Mi MI, I can certainly help you out with that. The name of the app is "Yi IoT" which you can get on the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. There is also an app you can get on PC/Laptop. I hope this information helps you out. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask me! Also, make sure to subscribe and share if you haven't already! Welcome to the Crew!
You guys are doing a great job; much kudos! I actually got my 2 units before seeing your video so I can attest to your accuracy. I wish I had known about your video earlier so it would have saved me a lot of time because the pamphlet that comes with the box is not accurate. Your viewers can just ignore the app instructions and follow your video to get the camera linked with their phone. For your viewers, the camera is great. Sound is loud and I can also hook it up to a PC running on Windows. Even at night with little light, the picture is crisp and clear. Keep up with the great work. Oh yeah, I got 2 cameras for under $40. Can't beat that!
Jus got this camera the other day, so all I need is the micro sd card so it can save the history? Because that’s a rip off for the cloud service lol they never mentioned that before being bought
Yes, you can use this camera without purchasing the the cloud storage. You will be able to store all the footage onto a SD card. I hope this information helps you out. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask me! Also, make sure to subscribe and share if you haven't already! Welcome to the Crew!
I have a different model but in general, do you happen to know if you can turn off the night vision? I point this into our backyard through the window, and it’s fine in the day but at night it just reflects its own lights into the glass and doesn’t help. We have a motion detection light so it should be able to see fine without it. The problem is actually with the camera having the night mode on.
I appreciate the feedback! People have mixed feelings about it, but I'm glad you love it! Make sure to subscribe and share if you haven't already! Welcome to the Crew!
Hello Jonathan, I believe the app is named "YI IoT" on the Google Play store, but I'm not sure if the name has changed. Let me know if you find it. I hope this information helps you out. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask me! Also, make sure to subscribe and share if you haven't already! Welcome to the Crew!
Yes it can! You will also have the ability to view the media files through your phones if connected to the internet. If you don't have internet or don't plan on being connected, you can at any time, pull out the SD card to plug into your PC or laptop. Then, you can also view your media that way as well. I hope this information helps you out. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask me! Also, make sure to subscribe and share if you haven't already! Welcome to the Crew!
Yes most definitely! You can share the cameras on many accounts, so you can view all the cameras you have set up. Let me know if you have any questions! Also, make sure to subscribe and share if you haven't already! Welcome to the Crew!
It gives me the option to share 1 is share by scanning a QR code where the other person scans the QR code which keeps saying failed due to location and the other option is to enter their email address which then says can't find account hold. I am in the UK if that has anything to do with it?
Hello Cynthia! My apologies for the late response. I believe that in order to connect 2 cameras to the application, you need to add them separately. Just open up the "Yi IoT" application and pair the cameras with the configuration and repeat again for the second camera. I hope this information helps you out. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask me! Also, make sure to subscribe and share if you haven't already! Welcome to the Crew!
You will need a power cable plugged into the camera to supply it with power. The camera is wireless as in wireless WiFi connection. I have reviewed a few security cameras that are fully wire-free with rechargeable batteries if you you would like to take a look at them. Let me know if you have any questions! No problem! I'm glad my video was helpful! Let me know if you have any questions! Also, make sure to subscribe and share if you haven't already! Welcome to the Crew!
Yes of course! My apologies for the late response. In order to reset the camera, you must use the reset hole on the back of the camera. Using a sim tool or paperclip should do the trick. You just need to hold down for around 10 secs when the camera is plugged and already connected to some device. The reset button essentially takes the camera back to its factory settings and removes previous installations. I hope this information helps you out. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask me! Also, make sure to subscribe and share if you haven't already! Welcome to the Crew!
This is something you need to allow in the settings. If you go into the main menu, you should see a section for motion and sound detection which you need to toggle on. You can also adjust the sensitivity for the detection. Let me know if you have any questions! Also, make sure to subscribe and share if you haven't already! Welcome to the Crew!

Tried setting my grandmother's up and no matter what I did to connect the cameras it wouldn't do it. Kept saying wifi password error but the wifi password went through to connect to her phone. I don't get it
That's a bit strange. Did you try to connect this security camera via a WiFi hotspot? I had someone else who had issues with the camera successfully get it to connect to this way.
With this particular camera, it will need power at all times for it to work. In currently working on a review for a camera that has a rechargeable battery the can last over a month before needing to charge it up. Let me know if you have any questions! Also, make sure to subscribe and share if you haven't already! Welcome to the Crew!
I just bought this camera and I can't see anything at night. I looked all through my settings and couldn't find anything to turn it off or on. Please help
I can help you out! Are you having issues with the QR code? Let me know if you have any questions! Also, make sure to subscribe and share if you haven't already! Welcome to the Crew!
You don't need an sd card if you plan to use the cloud for storage. I would actually recommend both the sd card and cloud storage, so that you can easily access the footage at any time. I hope this information helps you out. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask me! Also, make sure to subscribe and share if you haven't already! Welcome to the Crew!
Yes, wireless means wireless connection to WiFi. I have reviewed some other cameras in the past that are battery powered. @@lindaleean22 if you guys put in a micro SD card into the camera, you shouldn't need to purchase the subscription. This is how I currently use this camera. Let me know if you have any questions! Also, make sure to subscribe and share if you haven't already! Welcome to the Crew!
For the time I've been using the camera, it tends to get warm, especially when watching the live feed of the camera. Other than that, it stays pretty cool. I hope this information helps you out. I just purchased this. Sent the first 1 back because it wouldn't connect to wifi. Now this one is doing the same thing. Can I get some assistance before I send this 1 back.
I'm glad to assist you. Hopefully I can figure it out for you. I have a few questions that may be the reason why you are struggling. Is your WiFi connection a 2.4G or a 5 one. Also, does your WiFi contain any symbols such as: @#$&()?
Is it possible to change your WiFi password to not contain symbols? This may help with the connection process. I also got this information from their website: Router configuration ● Yi home camera currently supports only 2.4Ghz band,it does not support 5Ghzband Wi-Fi. ● Ensure that the Wi-Fi name is in English letters and numbers and the password does not include special signs. ● Ensure that the router encryption mode is WPA/WPA2. ● Open the QOS in Advanced settings, set the device at the highest setting. ● Turn off the wireless access control on the black and white list and cancel the option of black and white list. ● Turn off the AP isolation in the routers settings.
Of course! Here is the site you need to need to use to download the application. I believe the Yi Home should work. www.yitechnology.com/firmware Let me know if you have any questions! Also, make sure to subscribe and share if you haven't already! Welcome to the Crew!
That's completely ok! You should be able to connect an additional camera to your account, without needing to create a new account. Just follow the same steps you used to add the first camera.
Hi, i have a problem with the app of the camera. I Need to pair It with Alexa and i do, but when i Ask to Alexa ti show the camera in mu Fire TV It says that Is not connected while the native app Is working

I just attempted to connect mine as well and after scanning the QR code to connect, I get "wifi password error" which isn't correct bc all of my other devices are connected. The troubleshooting says I need to try to connect closer to my router, but 1 camera (I got a 2 camera system) is literally next to my router. I'm pretty frustrated. Any help?
The camera doesn't have any built in batteries. It needs to get connected to some sort of power at all times. The wireless refers to the live connection to the security camera. You can either use a micro sd card for storage or a cloud service, so you shouldn't be forced to pay a subscription to use the camera. Which method are you currently using to save your footage?
You should be able to format the SD card by going into settings. Let me know if continue to have issues finding it or accessing the settings. I hope this information helps you out. I believe thay this camera supports 64GB for the SD storage. I have found some people who have used the 128GB with no issues. That would allow you to probably shoot 24/7 for a few weeks to a month before needing to clear/format the card. Let me know if you have any questions! @@CrewElite Thanks man. Also I sent them and email regarding claiming a price of SD card and they’re not responding. Feels like dodging and I feel like returning their camera now.
@@CrewElite When I purchased the camera, it comes with a card that said I can claim free SD card. I purchased also their cloud monthly. So tried to claim that SD card but, they don’t want to respond their emails. Now I will have to return their camera and cancel everything. I don’t like lies. It’s bad for business.
