+jelmer van son the HERO4 can shoot 4K video, but I used the HERO3's timelapse feature which takes normal pictures with an interval such as 0,5s, 1s, 2s, 5s, 10s... The timelapses you see on youtube are usually (for some reason) made by shooting video for ~ 30min and then speeded up.
