Who else thought Casey crashed his drone when you read the word "Karma" in the title, but realized it is the drone name....

And only 3 years later we have something like the Mavic Mini. Insane.

i have been flying my mavic mini, but also rewatching this video. I must say, this was the drone i was looking most foward to. Still a great idea as an addon to the gopro, rather than simply a drone itself

I've been a GoPro user for years, I'm invested in it, know how to use it for what I want to capture, and have a lot of mounts for whatever I'm doing at the time. I wanted the Karma stabilizer grip, but for another $500 I could get it and the drone, so it was an easy choice for me, I already had a Hero 5 camera. So far, I love both the drone and the stabilizer grip. It's quick and easy to use and captures magnificent video. It extends the versatility of my GoPro, giving me a stabilized action cam while on foot, car or boat, and a drone cam to capture video I'd get from a hot-air balloon. That's what I wanted. I'm not really into flying drones, it's just another attachment for my camera. I've had no problems with it at all (bought in December 2017) so it appears GoPro has worked the bugs out of it. I really love the stabilizer grip too, it makes the Karma package a good value for me.

I wonder how the karma with the new gopro 6 and the new updates will work. I might drop the phantom 3 pro and dji osmo+ for this. It seems that the gopro 6 has much better dynamic range and linear at 4K 60fps.

holy shit this is probably one of the biggest improvements gopro, and even technology in general, has made in a long time. This is amazing. But is it also available without the hero 5? Would be amazing if i could buy the thing separate and pair it with my hero 4 silver!!

Karma's camera quality looks better than the Mavic by a mile! Mavic's tech is better than the Karma's by a mile. It's a wash...

Gopro has a great view. Really nice. I can imagine a smaller drone with a tiny cube shaped Gopro camera. That am sure would compete with DJI.

I have seen the GoPro karma drone in one of my local tech shops and I instantly wanted one

I had such an amazing experience with Gopro 3 for a few years and so excited to get Karma. A few big problems are very weak reception wifi range which you will not be able to fly it more than 300 meters( they claim 1 kilometers which is lie), losing wifi signal have it return to its flight location and mess up all your enjoyments. Once even when it returning back to it's lunch location got stuck at 8 meters height!! unable to land made a few minutes so scary so I was expecting wait until the battery drain off and fell on its own, eventually I was able to fix it having a few maneuver, I am expecting that happens again. battery gets drains in 15 minutes which is much less than they claim (20 min) technical support was almost useless, called a few time just could say SORRY . another issue is there is no obstacle avoidance which makes fly risky, also some specific flight modes like DRONIE needs so much distance from you until works( at least 5 meter height and 5 meters length( so can not follow you closely) The good things are a good camera(gopro 6) comes with drone and detachable stabilizer and also costs if comes in sale.

I don't tend to comment , but I gotta say, that thing is fucking incredible! The drone shots were amazing! The Chest cam was fantastic and it smashed the stabilisation test over the cobblestone! And the fact that it's just a prototype as well? Phenomenal

The drone looks fantastic and I think they nailed the small form factor... however, is it just me or does the GoPro camera look more muddy than DJI's camera's? I would expect a camera company to have a better... y'know, camera? (Obviously, it's not the worst, so take my criticism with a grain of salt, I personally think it's amazing that such compact camera technology even exists.)

Wicked video! Love the drone shots you captured! I have a karma drone as well which encouraged me to start making video some months back. Can you fly over water randomly or did you ask permission before you did your flight? I got caught and asked not to fly over a roof In one of my vids! So I had to bring it back down! I noticed it was quiet ish but still surprised you didn’t get any attention.

Last time, I was this early, Harmabe jokes were funny. End my suffering.
