Shot 100% on the HD HERO® camera from GoPro.com. Take a ride with Chad Reed as he takes a full lap during Thursday's Press Day at the last stop on the Lucas Oil AMA Motocross Series at Pala Raceway.
Id love to see Chad win tomorrow just to give his team a boost going into next season. He needs more sponsors than he had in 2011, he bank rolled most of this year out of his own pocket.
I'm not going to continue this any further with you, I'll make this simple. You are expecting me to believe that he has 1,600,000 dollars in 8 dirtbike's that need to be repaired pretty much after every race. When you originally stated that you THINK you read that in a magazine. Go google it. Most of the figures I gave are high trying to get the price up, to make you look like less of an idiot. You make me a price sheet for all the parts then we'll see whose is believable. CHAIN - 15,000~ right?
i wish the gopro riders would shoot the vid with the camera mounted on the side of their helmet like my friend and i do. its just as good, but u can see how much the bike is leaned over in a scrub, them gassing it, clutch and front brake work, the bike sliding round when braking into a corner, etc. its way cooler, if you dont think so, then look at my videos and u decide *no im not super fast and i know that*
wow we got a pro right here you know all the factory parts and what there worth even tho most of them aren't even available for the public that's just funny to me. And i don't know where you shop for youre parts but if i could buy titanium hardware for only 2k i would do it instantly, also you're wrong on the suspension, if i can get an A kit from pro circuit for 8k and the only difference between that and full factory is 2k well i could be a factory rider because i own an A kit from pro circuit
lol no.. titanium hardware is around 2K the racing parts are around 2K the engine customization is around 20K carbon protection around 1K stock model of the bike is around 8.5K the magnesium disc brakes are 400 and the suspension kit is 10K so thats about 45,000.. I'm in the sport myself and have seen his bike myself and i know the parts on it.. its no where close to 150K or 200K.. HOWEVER he has about 8 bikes like this so thats about $400,000 all together
@carpo94 A finger's worth of front brake in cornering ruts and berms will keep the front wheel from climbing out. @motoing32 That corner at 1:58 is a textbook example of the value of always having a finger on the clutch. He comes in hot, leaves the bike in a higher gear, lugs the motor, than clutches it for an explosive exit.
Just like Dungey, he never takes his index finger off the clutch, even when landing off the biggest jumps. Like at :44. You can also see him one-finger dragging his front brake through the corner ruts. His technique is flawless. Chad is already one of the GOATs. Supercross is going to be awesome this year.
Thank you for actually showing figures and having more legit sources before you commented. I can see 90,000, however I'm sure you agree with me that 200,000 for one bike is completely ludicrous. The twat up there wouldn't ever agree with me on anything.
In one of the issue's of motocross magazine in 2011 i think it was february they did a parts list for ryan villapotto's bike and it totaled almost 200k with suspension mods, motor mods and all the titanium screws. oh my friend it is easily a $150,000 bike
not true I bought a brand new overstocked 09 honda trx450r just last year for 8500 with taxes included and they sold for 10,500 that year in 09 so race quads aren't cheap
@takamine206 your sport is just very cardio intense , As far as bmxs, dont they all race downhill on super smooth rolling jumps for like less than a minute,....cmon
does anyone else think that Reed seems to be looking ahead/forward earlier in the corners than most the other guys that have had the go pro mounted on their helmets??
