Seems to me if insta bumped up their frame rates it would be a clear cut hero destroyer. The ability to lock onto a subject without having to worry about camera angle to me seems to be the the biggest feature in the action camera market.
I have a GOPro 5 and 7. I also have a Insta360 X2 and use it most of the time. It is a awesome little camera and the battery life is much better than the GoPro’s battery by far. The Insta360 camera love it you just have to be careful with the lens.
Reckon you would do a review on the insta360 X3 vs the GoPro Hero 10? I can't find a direct comparison and love how you break everything down. Shame about the insta resolution, if it was offering more it would be a clear winner (though the data would be absolutely massive)
Great review, buddy. It's interesting you mention the freezing. I have a Hero 7 Black, and although it's up to date and I always make sure to format and use the correct SD card, I still get the freezing issue. It happened to me again yesterday after an amazing ride with friends. The light was blinking; it was doing its thing. I went to stop it, and it wouldn't turn off, so I had to remove the battery. Checked the footage, and there's audio, but it's a frozen frame. Massively sucks.
Great video! I’ve recently purchased the insta 360 one X2 and love it tbh, it’s great to choose any angle in post. However I’m still using a couple of hero 8 cameras too, one on helmet as main camera with media mod and one on bars looking back at me. Editing can be a bit tricky at times with the three cameras. Great one, just using my insta360 while riding Offroad and I love it that I don’t have to turn my head to where I want to record. Keeps my focus on the track. Mean while I have been looking for an ND filter for the insta360 which I couldn’t find. So I am going to try out to stick some dark foil on my lens cover which will be arriving in a few day. Would appreciate feedback if any of you guys have tried something like that.
Wow I currently have the GoPro Hero 7 and I guess GoPro haven't addressed the freezing, overheating and the stability issues since. I think i'll give the Insta 360 X2 a go

I have a GoPro hero 6 and I was wondering for a long time what camera to buy. GoPro 10 or Insta 360 X2. Insta was ultimately chosen because GoPro hasn't been offering anything new for years. slight video quality improvement but nothing else. Still problems in dim light. Insta 360 x2 gives me a lot of possibilities. You can creatively create videos from different perspectives. 👌🏻

A really great vid. I'm glad you mentioned the unreliability of Gopro. I refuse to give those guys any more money when so much filming has been screwed up by Gopros just stopping, freezing or overheating. I've run an Insta 360onex2 as a main vlog camera for about a year now and I've just ordered another as I'm so happy with it. Battery life is way better but the biggest thing is I've not lost the special trip footage or important interview. Go pro needs to just stop this pixel/frames per second thing and just give us a camera that works reliability.
@@anthonygarcia3922 Can only say as I find. Had what I thought were great results on a week long motorcycle tour of Madeira (on my channel) No lost footage. Saying that if I thought it was going to be reliable I would probably still buy a Gopro 10 as ultimately the footage is higher resolution and does look great.

ordered my 360 about a week ago. Especially for an amateur such as myself I preferred it over the gopro because of its simple application and usage, also in editing. Butr maybe that is just because I am a shit editor and better of a presenter?
Great Video! I'm using Insta360 One X since 2018 and man this camera is awesome. the only problem I see is video & image quality just ok. BTW just purchased GoPro Hero 10, Let's see how it will work out. I'm lazy to recode stuff but your video inspires me a lot and I will try to use your tips in the future. The video is sick and really deep, I love that BUT I feel like you add a specific filter for all your videos? if that's true, that makes it tough to understand the color quality of the device. We can't just take your word for it, makes me wonder why you even do that? to show off the special filters? in the actual footage, aah :/

I had a bad experience with insta X2, I love the camera and the stitching is amazing, but It has one big flaw, It freezes too much, and I believe it has to do with vibration of the motorcycle too, but after a lot of research I discovered I was not alone apparently this camera likes too freezes constantly and when you on a motorcycle that's the last thing you want to worry about specially if something happens to me.. I went thru 3 instaX2s they were kind to keep resending X2s but then I decided to return it since they all fail, I wouldn't recommend for hard riders, and I also bought the gropro max and the stitching is horrible. so I ended up with just the new HERO 10 .. I hope gopro comes out with a all new 360 with better stitching or that insta360 X2 fixes their freezing issue.
Wow I’ve never heard of them freezing! It’s a shame you had a bad experience but glad the customer service was there. They have an anti vibration mount out now which should help the issue.. but you’ve moved on now. Hope the GoPro treats you well 👊
Yeah I agree with you on that, up until now I was thinking that it's the battery that is causing the freezing but now u have clarified that it's due to vibration. I have 2021 Gsxr1000r, and most of the time I mount it on the handle bar or at the tail of the bike with extended selfie stick and some time on the helmet. Now when I think about it, I just realized that freezing always happened when I had the camera mounted on the bike and never while being on the helmet....... My friend always has it mounted on the helmet and his never froze once......ok so now I have to invest in the viberator damping mod......but overall I love the camera as it's perfect for Moto vlogging....

Wait so you can export to higher then 1080p resolution? If so, that was my only gripe with the X2…I don’t need 4K or anything but 2.7K looks phenomenal on the Insta Go2, so I’d like to at least match it with the X2.
Bought a insta360 oneX2 a couple months ago and honestly I regret it... The video has glitches/artifacts in it... like if certain sections of the frame blur for a second or two while filming... I also hate the distortion, even in the different framing options.
I film/vlog with a GoPro Hero 5 and a Sony A7iii... and while the 360 has better stability, I can't get passed the bad quality. Also, the editing studio has lots of bugs I can't seem to get fixed... very disappointed
