10 bit colour is great. Bigger sensor is also amazing. But I wonder what exactly is the size of the sensor. Till the 10, the size of the sensor did not even match up to the size of my nail on my little finger! Thank you for the video and the updates.
Hey Krishnedu! The new sensor size on the 11 is 8:7 aspect ratio, 1/1.9-inch. The main element where this shines is if you want to transform footage into veriticle or landscape footage you can do it with no quality loss. Thanks for the question!
@@Movesmedia Thanks for the reply. Since it is a bigger sensor, I hope it improves low light performance as long as they are not cramming more pixels into it! Lol!
Any camera this size with these specs will run hot. You can always reduce your resolution and frame rates to prevent over heating. Also, shooting more efficiently is something I always preach as it means less work and better videos! Plus less over heating issues... :)
Hi Thanks for this video...As a present, I was given the go pro 10 (I am fortunate). However, I still love my hero session as when I climb, ski fast and steep it doesn`t know me off balance so much... P.S: I just brought your go pro course on udemy so I will forward to get learning and improving for my youtube channel. Like you using the go pro I really enjoy ... and prefer... = I hope you get some return on the course.
Hey FreeFlo, great to hear you signed up for the course. You'll get a link to my private creators FB group where I look forward to seeing your content and helping you with any questions you still have after youve completed the course. I'm surprised you still like the session. Don't you find the battery life to be poor?
@@Movesmedia Surpisling the battery is ok and I have more problems with the 10 overheating. The quality isn`t as good with the session which is obvious. But is small and lightweight and better for high-end big fast performances... When I put the 10 on my helmet and climb it knocks me off a lot and my balance isn`t as good = I can`t climb higher grades ..thanks and speak soon Floss
As someone new to GoPro I feel like this is the same with with iphones - if you are new buy the latest or a version down 2nd and if you already own one just wait for like 2 or 3 versions before an upgrade. Am I wrong in thinking this?
It totally depends on the person. If you're new, you're proably not going to maximize all the features of the new cameras. But there are a few "nice to have's" that may appeal to some people. Overall I do agree, if you're completely new, you don't need the latest and greatest. There are some things with the new GoPro's that make it easier for beginners though. As someone who is experienced, there are some features that I really like having making the purchase worthwhile.
well spoken, I'll hold onto the GoPro 10 for awhile. I will say, that they need to produce a better app for Mac book Air laptops. Please make a better Quick app for Mac books!!!
I am done with GoPro just because of the heat and freze issues. My first GoPro was the Hero 7 Black than it just ceased to work with no reason. One day I try to turn it on and it was just dead. I bought another Hero 7 Black in second hand and then it just frezes after a few seconds of working. The salvation on that day is I had the Osmo Action with me. No nore GoPro for me if they still have that issues on the newer GoPro versions. Expensive cameras turned into junk after some use. Now I have two Hero 7 Black to sell for parts if someone want them or I will put them awy to recycle or film myself destroying them with a hammer or smashing them with my car passing over them. And I have the Karma Grip that actually works but another useless piece of technology that can't be used with other sport cameras to sell if someone want it. But comparing the image quality of the Osmo 3 with the GoPro 11 I think the GoPro 11 wins! but... I don't want the GoPro 11 because I can bet it still have heat and frezing issues like the previous GoPro junk!
What's your alternative! I agree that GoPro's have limitations and issues but when it comes to rugged and versitile cameras I don't think anything beats the GoPro... The thing I learned is you need to have a storng understanding of the limitations and work within them. Shoot less, get better at editing, and the quality of your videos will go up regardless of what GoPro you're using!
