this is one of the best video tutorials. I couldn't even get the GoPro out of the box until I watched this video. I watchd 3 videos before this one and they didn't teach me anything. You are the best. this video should be included instead of GoPro crappy brochure. thanks my friend

I am first time Go Pro novice and a senior citizen. You made it so simple and doable. Thank you for such clear instructions. You took away my anxiety, I could not open the box, Felt stupid. I tore it up. Then I went to RU-vid. TAdaaa. Then I could not remove it from the frame until you demonstrated the simplicity of it all. I thought I was going to break the whole thing..Whew thank you again.

How does it handle with chlorine water? Do you need to rinse it off after using it in chlorine?

In general, chlorine can cause plastic and rubber to deteriorate, so it's a good idea to give it a fresh water rinse after the pool.

Bosingr i dont trust these waterproof without case gopros, my old hero 4 session died of saltwater when it leaked in somehow while i was freediving (around 20 ft). i have the hero 5 black and use the supersuit every time in go in the water

I Wear A Fez Now I've heard some horrible story's! One guy reasons that sometimes when you close those doors on the unit, the rubber might not go in place 100 percent right and will cause a chance of allowing water into the unit!! I don't go diving so I'm ok :) I'll use it in the rain though, I think it's better to see them as splash proof more than water proof :)

The SanDisk Extreme 64GB microSD is a good choice. Make sure whatever card you get is Class 10 or UHS-I. This is important for recording in 4k so the memory card can keep up with the large files.

The Go pro itself shouldn't have internet, because you are connecting to it's WiFi, and it isn't supplied with internet. You wouldn't need internet anyways to LINK it, you just might need it for editing (not sure) and you DEFINITELY will need internet to post, but for that you should switch WiFi. I know this probably isn't helping because it's a year late, but I only realised that after I wrote the whole thing.

Lately, I've been using one by Tylt that came with my iPhone, but there are tons of brands out there. Just make sure it's 5V and 1A output and it should work fine.

USB power charger brick at: 5:05 - most of the time there is a penalty using a charging device like this. These devices usually have a high rate of charging compared to a much slower rate. As a consequence, the high rate of charging degrades the battery life significantly. This video is well produced. Thumbs up.

This video was very helpful, when opening the box I didn't even know this very basic thing (because the Hero 5 is my first ever action camera) how to unclip the camera from the box mount, where other unboxing videos just assumed we knew this and skipped this section. Everything you explained made sense and now I know how to operate my first GoPro Camera as a noob or beginner, I very excited about using the camera, as I just waiting for it to charge, thank you for this great video 👍
