I have been using GoPro 7 silver quite some time and would like to share my views and features on the battery life is better than black and this model does not cost expensive like black. We may need to buy additional set of batters while purchasing Black, because the battery consumption is more and drains faster than Silver. I agree the Black has Hyper smooth picture quality and 60 Fps compare to Silver. But people who would like to go with 4K and 30 fps is also fine then you can for Silver and you can save Money and the battery lasts longer. This is my opinion after using GoPro Silver.
