Uff thanks friend! Finally I find this valuable information, I have the same problem as you ... I am using a translator since I am writing to you from Chile ... question: you say that with an energized microphone this problem does not occur, I am correct ? Greetings and very grateful for finding you. Eduardo.
Hello my friend from Chile...No energized microphone does not solve this. You have to turn on your GoPro and then hit the record button to solve this issue. Hope this helps...
I just got the media mod for my hero 8, for the external microphone so it would be best to get a battery powered external nic to work with the quick capture features
@@AmerSheikh thank you so much, this video really helps. I managed to get everything to work, the quick capture also working on GPH8 with the media mod connected to the external microphone. I got the condenser mic BOYA BY M1 and its battery powered.
Thanks for this tip Amer. You just saved me hours of frustration. How do you start/stop recording while riding? Do you use the app on your phone, the wrist watch style remote control or do you just try to press the button while riding? Thanks for this great tip.
You are Welcome. I am glad this helped. I typically press the button on the side of the gopro to turn it on and then press the record button. It's a bit frustrating but that is the only solution for now. Ride Safe!
Thanks for dropping by. It's so annoying and hasn't been fixed yet. I hope with the new Hero 9 it's fixed. I was about to trash mine too lol till I figured out what was going wrong.
Was this bug ever fixed for you? Because 2 years later i just bought a GoPro 10 with media mod and I’m having a similar bug. I’m not sure if it’s exactly the same. But I need to unplug my external mic and replug it in to get it to be active.
OMG what a Great video,, I'm Very greatfuL for this video..... Greetings from India ❤️❤️ RU-vid should recommend this video to everyone, i was facing this issue for a long time, But this is the video I'm searching for..... saved my LIFE.... 😘😘 May i know which ND are you using....?? thanks ❤️
Thank you 😀 I am glad this video helped you. The issue is very annoying and got me crazy to figure out fixing it. I didn't use any ND filter just did some colour grading while editing it 😊
Yes it is very annoying 😡😡 i don't able to understand what is the problem, i was thinking is it gopro fault, or is it mike fault😡😡😆😆😆 But yes it is QUICK CAPTURE FAULT..... thanks for your rply, Your footage is looking really great, Looking like you are using an ND.... Much appreciated sir.... Love form here(india)❤️❤️
I thought the same too that my GoPro has a problem initially. I am planning to ride to India hopefully next year part of my round the world trip. Stay safe and thank you for stopping by!
I do speak in a conversational voice. If you think the camera is not a camera and a person things get much easier 😀 I just try to speak the way I usually do this way I never want it to sound artificial. I am using a Rode Lavalier Go Mic and it's the best one out there.
@@AmerSheikh And which field of view angle do you have your GoPro set to?? I have mine set to wide as I think linear zooms in to closely and superview looks funny. Thanks for the tips.
You are welcome! My gopro is set to superview as wide doesn't cover much of the area specially when riding. All my gopro videos are with superview angle while riding.
Hi sir ur audio is very loud n clear for motovlog without a wind noise... u r using gopro media mode wth rode lavalier go is it? Where do u place ur mic & did u use any dead cat on the mic...??
Hello, thank you for stopping by. I just use the Gopro media mod and and rode lavalier mic with a wind screen that comes with it. I place the mic just near the opening of the windshield facing downwards. Hope this helps! Stay tuned for more videos.
Interesting, thank you! I set up my audio for the Goldwing so I could hear the exhaust notes more. Went for a ride, came back and it was static. I forgot to add the 3 to 2 adapter for the mic 🤦🏾♂️😂
You are welcome! I love GoldWing exhaust notes. I know that feeling when you forget to add the adapter. I have a checklist in my mind every time I go out taking my GoPro to record so I don't miss anything.
Well, my set up worked fine using the GoPro On & GoPro Record and had no issues. Of course, I will do a trial and error tests based on what you describe as a working issue based on the problem you had. I have the Purple Panda mic. Yes, I'm just getting started in the MC Vlog stuff so thanks for the 411! I purchased the Media Mod and the GoPro 3.5 Mic adapter which I don't need if using the Media Mod I discovered. Only use the Mic Adapter when only using the GoPro8 without the GP Mod. Again, thanks for sharing the info.
