Love the video. I like your perspective and how you break down the differences between the GoPro 9 and newer models. You conveyed it in layman’s terms instead of basically reading the brochure like a lot of other tech reviewers do
Just got a $150 gift card from Best buy and had to add a few bucks to get the hero 9 and figured it would be better than the knock offs available.. I'm sure it will be a huge upgrade from my cell phone in a plastic pouch next time I go snorkeling in the Caribbean..
I was actually thinking returning my Hero12 and go for an "older" Hero. Like the 10 or 9. Because I still have loads of accessories now. I've returned the 11, it was terribel with overheating and sometimes the screen wasn't responding verry well. The Screen on the Hero12 is even responding far worst... I was also looking for the One RS before I bought the Hero12. But it seems it's getting a bit to the end of it's life. They don't seem to make that 1"sensor anymore. So that takes away advantages. The combo kit seems nice with it's 360 lens. But those lenses are quite vurnable and you can't replace the lenscovers like on the Hero 9 to 12 and the Osmo Action 3 and 4. A single 360 lens mod is almost as expensive as the whole combo kit... The X3 seems to be a nice cam too. But is also has the problem being that vurnable on the lenses. But you could use those sticky lens mods on that one. Believe they're also available for the One RS though.
Let's say you had the option to have the 9 given to you, brand new, for free. And that option was one choice out of several other items, all of which are not camera items. Would you take it and use it?
top tip. no need to say gopro every time you refer to a camera. just say hero 9 and hero 12. you could even just say 9 and 12, but i think including the "hero" is good. the relentless use of "go pro hero" is pretty annoying though
Wouldn't get the 8 because of the front camera lens can't be replaced with a quick twist and click. If you damage it the camera is likely junked unlike the 7 and 9.
