I will eventually buy both but my preference is the GoPro because I like taking photos and videos when I’m out and about ie. bushwalking, beach, roller skating, jogging.
Bro you didn't even adjust your settings on the gopro. You definitely can get rid of that noise and make the gopro image look more studio like. Not a fair comparison.
stupid question cause gopro's are not made to vlog in all situations such as indoor or lowlight places at night. Gopro gives bad results at indoor and night cause the small sensor.
I noticed that the Go Pro10's fisheye look makes your mouth look asymmetrical, while it looks perfectly natural on the Fuji and the Sony. I get the same result when shooting myself with an ultra wide angle lens. I think ultra wide-angle lenses only look good for the close-up vlogging style for perfectly symmetrical faces, which most people don't have. From my point of view, that makes the biggest difference at 3:39. It would be interesting to see what it looks like using the linear mode on the Go Pro
Sounds like the GoPro is the best camera for action video and dslrs are best for everything else. But the GoPro can be used for everything while DSLRs can not. If you can only afford one get the GoPro, right? There is also the waterproofing. GoPros can be used in storms. I think having a GoPro 10 is a must unless you never go outside or if you are very tight on cash. I don't have one. I use an m50, but my next purchase will be a hero 10. It's just too handy. I am wondering what the GoPro 11 will bring since the 10 seems to have fixed all GoPro problems. Maybe more ports built in. Will GoPro ever have changeable lenses? I doubt it because it would compromise the size, weight etc. The cameras that will soon take away so much more market share than they already have are smartphone cameras. iPhone cameras are crazy good now. I am imagining a phone with at least 6 lenses to handle every possible need. How about mini snap on lenses.
I wouldn't say that the GoPro can be used for "anything" else. You cant control the depth of field with it, you cant change lenses and it'll never be as good as a DSLR/Mirrorless camera in low light conditions. GoPro's are action cameras and they're designed to film action sports/stuff. Will you somewhat be able to use it in some different scenatios? Yes. but it's not going to be optimal. It's best to have both a GoPro and a DSLR/Mirrorless camera for the best experience. Both have their strengths and their weaknesses. I honestly have no idea what GoPro will do with the 11, but i'm pretty certain it won't be changeable lenses. I think it's going to be a minor "S" update to the 10.
dude I watched your Hero 10 studio video the other day and I was SO close to ordering one. BUT I watched a tonne of videos on the ZV-1 and bought it instead. You are right about the lighting part though - I just recorded myself talking to the camera in low light (just a desk lamp shining on my face) and it didn't look great. I'm going to buy a Godox 60W + softbox now. Hopefully it improves my picture.
The ZV-1 is a great camera, I’m sure you’ll be more than happy with it! And yes lighting is extremely important, it’s far more important than the camera you use.
I'm extremely uncertain😅 With only 700€ budget, I need a studio camera both in light and dark settings, but I go on mtb and I do fitness... Considering that I have no professional lighting systems, which action cam (GoPro, Insta360, Dji) is quite effective in not very bright environments or during the day inside a studio? Or is Sony a forced choice?
Tell me your opinion. Should I get 2 gopro hero black 10 or should I get 1 gopro hero black 10 and 1 Sony zv-e10? I am going to film fishing vlogs. One will be on a chesty and the other will be on a stand. I intend to film 4k 30fps. Thanks.
Personally I would pick the Sony zve10 and GoPro. GoPro on the chest for POV shots and the zve10 on a tripod for everything else(close up/wide/thumbnail shots).
Good vid but GoPro looks just as good as Sony in your test at 3:39, especially on smartphone screen at 1080 for RU-vid. Actually the GoPro maybe looks better, IMO, especially for the average viewer. What do you think?
I have gopro 8 and 5 and filming a bunch with them and looking to do the upgrade to the ZVE10 but wasn't sure if it was going to be worth it. 100% the video i was after
i just really want to know how people get shots like this 00:05 is this handheld? Gimbal? can you achieve this with zve10? whats the light setup? im a complete beginner and so confused lol
That segment was shot handheld with a Sony a7IV. However, it has good stabilization and 4k60 resolution. You can get similar results with the ZV-E10, but because of the 40% stabilization crop, I'd recommend using a gimbal.
👋 hi friend which one is the best 4k or 5k camera 📷 picture quality, zoom quality and slow motion 🤔 plz tel me . I like nature and I capture whole nature in my camera for youtube and inta ...plz tel me
I want a pocket camera for everyday street photography as I don’t wanna use my canon 6D for everyday use because of its weight. Which one is your preference from Sony ZV1 and Gopro Hero 10? TIA
i would defintely not pick up the GoPro for street photography. As for the ZV1, i don't really have much experience with this camera. But i'm sure it can work for street photography.. Will it be perfect? probably no.. But it'll be a much better choice than the GoPro 10.
Great video was considering upgrading ether my zv100 to zve10 because the wider lens snd better stabilizer. And probably will stay with the GoPro 9 for all the action shots
For home studio Sony ZV-E10. For outdoors can’t tell for certain. What are you filming outdoors? Do you Vlog? Do action sports? Is stabilization important to you?
Is it worth the upgrade from the 9 I have the 9 and I love it I wanted a back up camera incase the 9 fails or has issues I figured the 10 because the versatility of the accessories I own but I wanted something different
The Hero 10 is amazing! I dont have any issues when it comes to overheating. It does overheat faster than the Hero 9, but not really a big deal for my use case.
I believe that the new iPhone will have somewhat similar quality to the Hero 10, don’t really know that much about the Note 20. But the ZV-E10 will beat any smartphone when it comes to quality, especially if you pair it with a nice lens..
It’s a bit of an oranges vs. apples comparison. One is a vlogging camera. One is an action cam. The GoPro Hero 10 excels at the action part. The ZV-E10… well, I wanted to buy one and I think there are better options out there in the marketplace. You can just get the A6100 pre-owned and you’d not miss much.
Bro just 1 question. I want to buy the sony zv-10 but I wish to buy other lens instead of its kit lens. May you suggest a good lens for me please? Thanks!
super love my hero9 camera for daily vlog or food review, since i mostly film in sunny day time and love the battery and insane stabilization. I had ZV1 but the battery isnt too good but good quality for sure (of course i cant compare 1' sensor VS hero 10😅) BUT love the video 😍😍
I think that for the price the Sony ZV-E10 is the best beginner camera right now. The Canon M50 MII seems nice, but I never used one to tell you how good it is.
So what I heard was GoPro needs attachments you have to buy. Buuuuuuuut the Sony needs attachments also. Past the kit lens your going to need more lenses that are expensive. I do agree that your purchase should be based off your use that is needed.
Hi, I have a desire .Trave and explore it, but I have no camera, only an old phone like 3G, no cash to buy a camera, I have a parent. Trust me, can you help me?
I think the video was good but the conclusion seemed very obvious and almost made the video pointless..if your doing action get the action camera and if your vlogging get the vlogging camera. Im not saying that you did anything wrong but seemed a little to “no brainer for me”. I still enjoyed the video and well put together for sure!
It may seem pointless to you, but some people still don’t understand the difference between a GoPro and a mirrorless camera. Some think that they can get mirrorless camera results on a GoPro which is pretty much impossible.
Yet another good video. I have the Sony A7IV, as I know you do too. But I am thinking of daylight Vlogging with the GoPro 10, because the A7IV and Ronin are killing my arm :)
Nice vid man but hero 10 is more then twice cheaper (even only body w/o additional lens)... Hero 11 is twice cheaper, 350 vs 700 on Amazon Btw can u recommend me smth rly cheap to start a vlog pls? Nothing insane, an amateur home studio and a bit of action in sunny times ZV-E10 is called the cheap vlogging cam for beginners Cam + light + mic + lens + another utility is 1.5k Not so cheap for a beginner, my mom's 3 salaries lol ZV1 is cheaper but still a freaking bunch of money for me Second-hand market isn't available here and ma phone sucks hard, literally impossible to rec. This piece of crap just randomly loses focus while filming and It can only be fixed by a reboot and restart filming haha Mayb in ma case gopro is good even for a studio according to it's low price? Idk of another options for this money Would b great if u could give me some advice ) - 🤖
How 1.5K? I'm sure you'll be able to find a used ZV-E10 for around $500-550, if not less. Then you can get a used Sigma 16mm 1.4 for about $300. And a lightbulb softbox light with a Rode Video Micro for around $100-150. Should be around $1000 at most. If you want to save even more money, get the Sony a6000 and possibly the Viltrox 13mm f1.4 lens. The GoPro is an excellent ACTION CAMERA that can also serve as a RU-vid studio camera in a pinch. In any case, I'd choose a proper camera for the studio over the GoPro.
I can say the same thing about GoPro. Terrible low light performance, no ability to change lenses, stabilization sucks with low shutter speeds, no manual focus etc..
