I just bought GoPro Hero 11 Black today. I just found your video and your video extremely helpful. Just bought few SanDisk Extreme 256gb for my Philippines trip this March. Subscribed your video thumb up Thanks for sharing!
Great video. Thank you very informative. Question does these micro sd cards that you mentioned in your videos are compatible with the gopro hero 4 silver?
Hi there, i just got the GoPro Hero 11 Black, just a couple days ago and i stumble upon your channel which was very fortunate of me to see. Yur video is very helpful but I need a little more help about the Micro SD Cards. I did some research and some people said that putting a 512GB micro SD card inside the GoPro 11 will NOT function well…… they say that it will corrupt the data in someway and over heat and shut down……I don’t know what they mean about that. I’m highly suggesting buying one of your micro SD, that you are currently using, which is the SanDisk Extreme 256GB I really want to get the 512GB because I’ll be in Paris for a whole month and I want to do a lot of vlogging. What should I really get? Will the 512 actually work just fine or should I play it safe and go with the 256?? Please and thank you
GoPro does say that the 512 GB versions that are on the list will work. I happen to use 256 GB cards. And I have a few of them. The recording time is so long that I don't mind changing it out if one gets full. If you're worried about it, maybe go with two x 256 GB cards.
Thanks for the video. Any additional comments on using 512G cards in the 11 black? Are there any benefits to using 256G cards? Prices have come way down from those given in the video.
I think you're good as long as you stick to the list. For our travels, I do like to swap out my memory card a few times in case I were to lose my GoPro. I don't lose all my footage. But as for filming, both will work great.
PNY also works very well. Use Elite, Pro Elite or Elite X for Hero 9 and older + MAX and Fusion, and Pro Elite or Elite X for Hero 10 and 11. Source: Run these cards myself since Sandisk Extreme isn’t very available here.
What's the real difference between a Samsung EVO 256gb, Samsung ProPlus 256gb and Samsung Pro Endurance 256gb Same with the Sandisk Extreme Plus 256gb and Sandisk Extreme Pro 256Gb, Sandisk Max Endurance 256Gb?? A few years ago they used to be different read/write speeds - but now they all say V30, A2, 3
Hey! I have a Hero10 and till now i used a 64GB Sandisk Extreme and it worked without any problem! I got another card, and 128gb one, also sandisk extreme! But i have issues with this one, about all my videos are bad, like if i try to replay them in the gopro they dont work, like they work for a few seconds then they stop! If i try to copy thwem in my PC the gopro dissconects! I got an card reader and fully formated the card but it stil not working! Is it a broken sd card or is it something i can do to fix it?
Ive a question! When im looking at a few of those sd cards like the samsung pro plus, i see that it says ”up too 4k video” and the hero 11 black can do 5.3k recordings, will that not be possible or how will that work if u record with 5.3 video?
They should work as GoPro has said these cards are there recommendations for that camera. In my testing I haven't had problems with the cards I've used.
@@begonethot3964 It corrupted most of my files, I could not play the videos at all on GoPro nor the PC. I assume 512gb is a little bit too much, it works perfect with a 256gb SD card.
Well, the 512 will hold approximately double the video footage of the 256. Both are good cards. It just depends how much storage you're looking for. I typically buy the 256 and then have a few of them.
@@NorthernVikingEveryday I am planning to buy Adata AUSDX512GUI3V30SA2-RA1 512 gb, that should work well with gopro hero11 right? Is it fast enough for gopro11? Or is it better to buy Sandisk 256GB?
looking to buy a 512gb but I want to make sure I can record files longer than 12:53...I am using gopro 11 in hyper view and have 256gb but can only record clips in 12min intervals. does anyone know if I get a bigger card I can record larger files that are in one file and not multiple
