Thisabadusername but then you realise what you see is just New Mexico, it's a very small world we live in isn't it. I expected to see a lot more of the world, just look at the city buildings below before the jump, why so clear?
Video of the Day! October 14, 2012, Felix Baumgartner ascended more than 24 miles above Earth's surface to the edge of space in a stratospheric balloon. Millions across the globe watched as he opened the door of the capsule, stepped off the platform, and broke the speed of sound while free falling safely back to Earth. Watch this full story edit of the incredible moment that became our Super Bowl ad.

For 1 year and a few month actually :"October 14, 2012, Felix Baumgartner ascended more than 24 miles above Earth's surface to the edge of space in a stratospheric balloon. " and the video was released in 2014
I'm quite surprised he didn't pass out. It must be a very weird sensation to fall from such a height that you actually start slowing down because the air gets in your way. Holy Shit, batman.
+Josh Allen com oon you believe tis smith tink man how can hie stop so perfect on the spot if it is a helium ballon and he stops so right on the spot no whe men tink
Cant believe 11 years have gone by so quickly since I sat here at the edge of my seat, watching Felix base jump from the edge of space, plummeting + hurtling down to earth like a meteor. I think my heart rate must have equaled his back then, as it did just now so many years later. It is so amazing to see this again after such a long time; I was still at the edge of my seat. Thank you for sharing such an AMAZING experience w/ us *Rocket Man!* 🚀👨🚀
Because they're conditioned by their narcissism to disbelieve and reject every single thing that is is told to them. Especially in cases of great achievement or disaster.
Actually from his position when he jumped, you can barely see the curvature. Basically because the earth is so gigantic. Think of an microbe on a gymnastics ball.. You need to go up way higher to see a nice curvature.
Average heart rate of people watching a scary movie scene: 110 bpm Average heart rate of people riding a roller coaster: 153 bpm Felix’s heart rate throughout his skydive: 158-194 bpm (with a few flatlines to boot!)
Do it again, you forgot to press record... that would have sucked. It's a good thing they didn't use a Drift camera.. would've either died or corrupted the video on the way down.
I had goosebumps at the point when Felix was looking down at earth, saluted and said "I'm coming home". Makes me appreciate our planet and everything In It.
It's interesting that they call this "the full story" when they don't show him freaking out and nearly aborting. The man was terrified. And rightfully so! But he had the strength of will and courage to get the job done. That's the full story.
@@HiddenGodful Did you read the title of this vid? Let me help you out its says "Red Bull Stratos - The Full Story" IT"S NOT THE FULL STORY! Did you even read my comment? You actually commented almost EXACTLY what I did! LOL Question... how are you this thick IRL or are you just putting on an act for youtube? I see you voted up your own comment again. Stay classy there dude. Keep humping that empty dream.
@@BramMichaelson Its the full story of the fall not the full story of the psychology of Felix. Do you wanna know what he ate also? If you wanna know the fact he was scared about jumping this is just because you are delusional.. Everyone knows (but you) that he was scared.. You can tell by how he was speaking before jumping
+Tim Boxall Yea the earth is a globe and the horizon is inverted the WRONG way pushing the land to curve in the opposite direction… LMFAO…. This is an absolute JOKE..
Jelle Gerssen chill its a joke, but really tho, the last time people talked about him on th media was that matchine gun kelly thing, and still, no one really cared either way
This video, I find to be truly amazing. Did you guys catch when he got out of the violent spinning, his heart rate dropped from 170 (around there) and immediately to 0, then back up to 160-180? That was shocking, Technically, he died there a second, and came back in a second... Wow.
+Cool Daddio didn't know you were such an expert scientist. I'd like to see all of your degrees, rewards, studies, experiments, etc... you're smarter than Tyson and Hawking?? Wow!!
Makes me cry every time 👍 proud to be a human after records like that. From 2020 with huge love and respect! If Felix did this then mankind can handle anything!
When he opens the door, the earth is completely flat and where is the rotation? . Then the go pro image in his helmet is perfect round. When he falls, the earth bend backwards 🤣 GLOBERS : WOW INCREDIBLE GLOBE. WHAT A JOKE! TRUTH WILL BE REVEALED. They fool humanity. That's the only thing they do

@@ezra5788 I had a dream about this shit. I thought about when I'm 40...it will be like that and j can't change it. Time passed. In my dream I was 40 and then 60....few seconds later 90. I thought about my live and the time was short. Like it just happened...
It's because of his blood rushing to his head and his feet, remember how he was saying he was spinning. He was trying to remain conscious and not pass out. He would've been fine if he descended straight down.
@@celinahosp758 Is this only camera point without fisheye lense? It's a bit strange that they put all cameras on wide fisheye lenses 😅 literally put 1 normal lense to look around to silence all flat earth people... And yet failed to do so. Suspicious af
During the real thing he was flailing and unresponsive for way longer... it was scary as hell. I think he actually passed out for a good 15-20 seconds and then came back to and stabilized himself somehow.
+Dainty Sanity Someone had the genius idea to use a fisheye lens to film it.... like it's a sick skate video or something. Would have liked to have seen the real curvature of the earth at that altitude.
+Cool Daddio LOL the earth is not flat... If you went East of where you are now and just kept going east, you would eventually wind up back in the same spot you started!!
When he passed out because of tremendous G force during the spin, he had a vasovagal and the vascular collapse made his heart beating really slowly, and the heart rate sensor couldn't mesure it
@@flolec6398 he didn't pass out tho, he was still fixing his body position after the "Feels like I have to pass out" comment. Also heart beat doesn't just suddenly drop to zero even if you pass out.
@@JokerKnives Exactly. It can get really low to the point where you can't feel it or some machines cannot read it but its still there. Its faint but it's there. It's a damn good thing doctors are trained to know when its really faint and not stopped or we would have way too many people pronounced dead or getting chest compressions and the paddles when they don't need it. They'd really be dead then lol.
Likely a momentary sensor failure or the sensor coming dislodged due to the extreme forces, then coming back to where it should have been, hence the sudden diagnosis of death.
I just saw his "capsule" day before yesterday at the Air & Space Museum's Annex (Hazy-Udvar Center) near Washington-Dulles airport. Totally unexpected. Got a pic of it.
All during the free fall, with the exception of that violent spin which had me worried, I couldn't help but smile and laugh with joy at the sight of this. It's so dangerous and yet I get a thrill within me thinking of myself being in space and seeing the stars above and the land beneath even if the point is to jump and fall back to that land. I feel such...joy!
Meanwhile, in 2020: Mad Mike Hughes just launched himself in a self-made steam-powered rocket to prove his theory that the Earth was flat and crash landed. 😂
@@zeendaniels5809 Once they tried to prove their theories in the documentary "Behind the curve" they couldn't cheat, so they bought a laser gyroscope for 20,000 $ and proved that the Earth is a rotating sphere 😂
When you look up at the moon, or beyond to the stars, you realise how insignificant we are. That we are just one tiny speck in this vast universe, and that the entirety of the achievements of the human race do not even matter. To many, this will be disturbing. But I find comfort in this. Why? because I think we should do as much as we can to become more than that speck.
You are wrong! I used to think like you, but think about this... you said we are just a speck in the universe, but I challenge you to find another living being in the outta space. 99.99...9% of the matter in the universe is lifeless matter. Yes, stars produce so much energy that we can't even imagine, they are thousands of times bigger than us, but they are lifeless though. Life is not that simple. The smallest organism on this earth is still something outstanding. I'm not saying we are lonely in the universe, just that we are extremely rare. Human being is even more rare because we are the only creatures who can comprehend the universe itself. ...Anyway hat's off to Felix, simply amazing!
Gianni Turatta We cannot even leave our own solar system are you are so sure there is no other life? Humans are made of the same materials that everything else in the Universe is.
Gianni Turatta Erm, we are lifeless matter. Just arranged in a cool way. Essentially you are a machine. You wouldn't call a car living would you? it's just a sum of its parts.
Ceasar Alexander because with a fish eye lens you can capture larger degrees of width. The video wasn't made to prove earth isn't flat, because everyone else already knows fairly well it's a globe. Flat earthers believe In anti-science, and it's quite sad to see.
I just saw David Blaine's Ascension and the entire time I kept remembering Felix's insane balloon dive and how it runs rings around it on every level. This is just literally just above and beyond.
Cóż można powiedzieć - WARIAT w jak najbardziej pozytywnym tego słowa znaczeniu !! :) I tak jak powiedział : czasami trzeba być naprawdę wysoko, żeby zrozumieć jak małym się jest ;)
