Struggling with settings on your GoPro, I have been using a chest mount but have fallen out of love with it. Time for a chin mount, IMHO, it captures way better footage and there is less risk of missing critical shots. Check out my video for a taste of what's to come.

Ive been filming in 1080p@60fps for a while now, i felt that the quality of the resolution was lesser than the quality gained from having smoother frames (on youtube). I then just upscale it to 2k@60 for youtube upload to get that niceeee codec as i dont feel the 4k is worth the time on youtube when filmed from a gopro.

Yup. Agree with everything you said. Check is too inconsistent! Like you said, riding positions change the view dramatically. Also, there's really no way to consistently get it in the exact same spot. Sometimes it's 1" up, sometimes it's 2" down. Depends on if you have a back pack on pushing the mount downwards, etc. This inconsistency can dramatically change the viewing angle, and sometimes mess up your shots. YUP superview is a must!!! One issue with some people's chin mount is they don't have enough horizon. For me, if there isn't enough Horizon, i'm always looking up while watching the video. But if there's too much Horizon, then there is not enough bike, which lowers the immersion of the video. I try and get my GOPRO as LOW as possible on the chin, without interfering with your chest protector when looking down. The lower you go on the chin, the more bike you can see, and the more horizon you can see. My chin mount is 100% consistent. The camera will be in the exact same spot every shot. This is because I've scratched marked in the arms to let me know the exact tilt that works for me. You can even take the arm screws out, and glue them in the exact spot you need.

I like the marking tip! That way once you get it right, you can stay super consistent. I am disappointed I spent so much time trying to get the chest mount to work. @bigironmoto seems to be able to get the chest to work well but it’s not for me anymore.
