Little update for everyone: At the end of the episode we hear that both Ricky and Tabitha excelled in their roles as Executive Chef and Manager. Lela's closed in 2007 as although business had improved Lela's debts were too high. Yelp reviews were mostly negative. In it's place now is Aladdin Jr Restaurant & Cafe, an Arab restaurant with good reviews. After Lela's Ricky went on to become Executive Chef at The Corner Butcher Shop in La Verne. He later worked for Silver Spoon Catering and is currently working at Hollywood Park Casino.

Chef Ricky is honestly one of the best chefs that I have come across in the entire series. He changes from an arrogant, lazy man to a capable, composed chef. My man just lacked proper guidance and direction but once Chef Ramsay stepped in and showed him how it's done, Ricky reignited his passion for food and owned everything. It was really wholesome when Chef Ramsay complimented Ricky. Game recognizes game. As for Lex, he wasn't used to leading the kitchen or handling pressure and therefore he snapped but he came back, stood up to his fears, and helped Ricky as his second, I mean that takes balls too. He did a pretty good job as well. I hope they both are doing well in life wherever they are.

Ricky went from *”He's a man, Im a man he ain’t better than me”* to *”Gordon is the best dude in the world”*

“I don’t take anyone yelling at me” Girl, Gordon yells at chefs, not servers.

"He takes little things every now and then, but I haven't seen him do something like that *_in a while_*." Meaning this isn't even the first time Buzzard has helped himself to a 4-course meal and wine.

I love that Gordon doesn't get his hands dirty during service. He truly makes the staff figure it out because once he's gone, they're on their own.

I always really respect Ricky on this episode, he was confronted and responded out of pride but he threw his ego out the window, found his exitment making fresh food and proved what he was capable of, it's a shame about the restaurant but I hope he went on to good things. And for legs, some people just can't deal with the pressure but he came back and excepted the role as second and that takes balls too

My favorite thing about Gordon Ramsay is that he will always always compliment you if you do a good job. like he never ever ever holds back on the compliments. to come back from the place Ricky was at and actually do a good job....mehn that's something every wannabe successful person has to have. I like that when Gordon sees someone doing some f***** up s*** he'll call you out immediately but when you do good things, he's doesn't hold back with the compliments. That's an amazing quality in a leader, just amazing. I'd love such a person as my boss coz you actually grow and become better at what you do with such a leader

I like how Lex seemed like the more intelligent, well-spoken, skilled chef at the beginning, and Ricky being the clown, immature chef. And then halfway, their roles switch, that was so funny to watch.

I love the episodes where Gordon and the head chef start off butting heads, but eventually Gordon gets thru and the chef humbles himself, becoming the best he can possibly be. Sort of like a redemption arc .... very satisfying to watch, even if it is dramatized for TV!
