He needs to put some warmer clothes on. It looks so chilly. A wise man and a trustworthy PM.

"by the force of world-wide opinion" - just play that back and think about it.

Our politicians (past and present) shouldn’t be commenting on this. It’s for the Americans to decide. Imagine how we’d feel if they started getting involved in our elections.

I mean the Americans do get involved in our politics from time to time. At the end of the day while former politicians should be more cautious about giving their opinions they have every right to have them.

The sheer gall of ex British members of parliament still trying to remain relevant in their later years is at least baffling, and at worst worrying. This is the time of life you should spend with your family. You had your bit of fame (or infamy) and left a somewhat chequered legacy together with Blair. Leave things alone and grow old gracefully - if you can't do that it tells us all we need to know about a career politician's psyche. 🤔

Disagree. Do you think footballers hate football when they finish? Do businessmen just sit and watch Eastenders in retirement? People who have done jobs they are passionate about will naturally feel they have more to offer - (as opposed to the vast majority of weak willed people who complain about going to work every Monday and can't wait to retire or go on the sick long term)
