Gordon Murray (GMA) introduces the world with his brand new T50, a celebration of his 50 years in the industry and a proper modern-day reimaging of the legendary McLaren F1, which he sees as the rightful successor! A bespoke 3.9L Cosworth V12 that has 663bhp and an incredible 12000 rpm redline strapped to a car that weighs roughly 2200lbs. Could you ask for a better combination in a car, the answer is NO! This 2.5+ million-dollar hypercar is what I believe Collin Chapman would have wanted to see Lotus bring to the table instead of the Lotus Evija. The Evija is great but this is astonishing.

Man great point about the Evija. Imagine if they put a modern day version 1LR-GUE with a manual H Pattern gearbox to it instead of an uninspiring electric.

Aaron Preddy now that would be magnificent. A far fetched dream but they certainly could have looked into some beefier power plants. 😄

Huxxy exactly, we just might end up getting some better sports car. Speed can not be the only target we continue to chase. As we enter near the end of ICE cars we need to bring the value back to what made such legendary cars special. Now it just seems like we make really fast, overly expensive paperweights. It’s sort of become a collector’s car game rather than a driver’s car experience.
